Sure xbox had a great show but lets not lose sight of the fact that they are still essentially telling everyone to continue to wait, 'the games are coming'. It's just that this time it actually looks like the games will come but...not today.

Metro gaming is what became of game central which is what became of Digitizer. It has a legacy going back over 30 years.

The answer is yes but the question is a bad one. A static frame may look close to photorealistic but what about physics, animation, AI making NPC's predictable and dumb? All of these things need to be considered and all will contribute to making the game look...like a game.

I’ve enjoyed the game game and I think I’m just about to fight the end boss. The Pinocchio / puppet angle is the weakest part of the whole package imo. They should have just made their own world.
Remember when the Xbox defenders were posting laughing emoji’s whenever anyone pointed out the need to make back the $80bn? Apparently it was pocket change to Microsoft and didn’t even need to be included in any financial calculations.

If you’re one of the many people who just play COD or FIFA or Madden etc then surely game rental makes no sense. Just buy your game and own it.
I see no way that gamepass becomes a significant part of the industry. It’s unsustainable without more price increases and people have seen through the supposed value proposition.

Sony are INCREDIBLY fortunate to be in the position they are in. Any decent competition would have wiped the floor with them this gen. This is their chance to right the ship and get things back on track by announcing what a majority of their fans want - some single player games.
All that said Microsoft are so so bad and show no signs of improvement that Sony could probably coast along and still do very well. Overall though the industry continues to suffer from bad leadersh...

Gamepass isn’t a good deal.
I spent £30 on lies of p recently when I saw it on sale and for the past couple of months I’ve spent all my gaming time making my way through it. So I’m playing the game I want for the price I wanted to pay and I own the game. All this without a monthly direct debit to Microsoft. I’m happy to continue this way.
I think this is what they will do as a halfway house solution. I also think this will undermine and eventually destroy the franchise.
Imagine the massaging required to get those numbers. There is no way in hell the average player actually played 40 hours like they claim.
