Those numbers sound great until you realise it would take Microsoft 30 years at this rate to make back the money it spent buying Activision and that’s taking the numbers as profit which it most certainly is not. So more like 75 years.

This doesn’t necessarily play out well though. There are a lot of PS5 owners who are sat waiting for the first party games which never arrive. Sony will suffer for their bad management next gen.
Xbox as a hardware platform will not exist in a year or two leaving them only the PC market where they can push GP. Obviously the PC market is huge but I doubt that demographic are hugely into sub services. PC gaming is cheap as chips anyway so who needs another direct debit?

For example ‘More players than ever’ almost certainly means they counted all the soccer mom candy crush players into the stats.
