Well that was a whole lot of nothing, brought to you by three overly corporate, untrustworthy liars.
Sony are doing amazing numbers while putting in the absolute minimum of effort. If only the Xbox team were competent we’d be seeing more games and more innovation across the board.
It wouldn’t surprise me in the least if Xbox manage to mess this up too with some half baked semi multi platform announcement that pleases no one. Their second decade of incompetence continues.
This is literally the stupidest take i've ever read. You know obscure spent AGES trying to figure out how he could spin the calamity that xbox is facing.
Kojima is an absolutely awful writer though. Literally every script he’s ever touched had been terrible.
If this wasn't happening, you'd expect a swift denial from Microsoft.
This isn’t a question regarding Indiana Jones, this decision is whether to kill xbox and go third party. Xbox could not continue if their big titles go to rival platforms even if theres a period of exclusivity.
At this point i’d estimate it hits the bargain bin in 3 weeks.
They have so much scope now to twist and distort the true state of their gaming business. Basically you will never know just how bad xbox is doing because they will hide behind twisted metrics such as including playstation cod players and mobile candy crush players.

I call bullshit. No way fewer gamepass players clocked more time on a worse game.
I simply do not trust Microsoft to report the truth.
What an awful list.
Yeah because all those cloud based movie/tv streaming services never rely on exclusive content, they just all play nicely under a single banner…right?
What an idiotic argument.
The big benefit they claim - 'an instant community' is not really the huge boon they make it out to be.
Yes a lot of GP subscribers will jump on it because its a new game and they get it 'for free'. However that community is also extremely fickle and will just move onto something else in a heartbeat so your community just evaporates.
Overall GP can easily be a drag on new franchises as people play for short periods but fail to engage fully...
I bought the XBone specifically for that game (and 360 BC). Take note Microsoft i bought your last console because it had an exclusive game i was interested in!
While not perfect I rather enjoyed SO. Being that it cost $50m to make, it seems crazy for Sony not to port it over to PS5, its minimal investment for what is a AA game - just the sort of thing Sony needs to bulk out its release schedule. I bet they could clear 500K-1m units on PS5 easy.
Resident Evil 4 was doing this (unadvertised) 20 years ago.
Stupidest comment I’ve read in a while.
Compelling exclusive content is everything and Microsoft has shown zero desire in creating any. This is the result.
A CEO of a major company should not be gaming 1,000 hours each year. That’s kid / student levels of free time.
Those 34 million subscribers now have to pay the wage bill of all Bethesda, activision and blizzard each month since Xbox mostly turned off the revenue streams of those companies.
It’s not profitable.
