Do it and tell me what components to use. I dare you to make anything near that one that can still play games at a solid framerate.
Unless it's more than $20 cheaper, go flametroll someone else.
Whoever wrote the letter, although it has a few grammatical errors (and who the hell at IW will care?), did a fantastic job at chewing them out and giving them what they deserve.
My only concern is that they will stop as soon as they see the "F" word :/ You can't complain about people swearing on chat and then do it yourself, and although I agree with you, IW won't want to.
Make sure you both mail and email this letter to their HQ.
... that's what this is? Try reading the actual TEXT underneath the headline ;)
It's an upgrade build - just the box + components. If you were smart enough to even understand what the bit interface accomplishes, I might respect your comment.
If you're going to use Windows on it, why not just buy a real computer for 1/3 the price? That's like saying, "I'm going to buy a hybrid and use gasoline."
Oh man, maybe you can run Oregon Trail in HD!!! <3
/sarcasm
This is considered a 'bare-bones build,' essentially meaning the case + the components. Monitors and other peripherals are assumed owned already, or added on top of the build.
Planning to begin benches with the next few builds ;)
Clever title ;)
It's a budget build you moron, I could say "for $XX more you could get ____," but that suddenly makes things a lot more expensive now, doesn't it?
"I'm sure many PC users that refuse to purchase a Mac have that same type of feeling every time they purchase a PC and are forced to utilize the Windows operating system because Linux is a little too much for them"
This is insulting, I use both Windows and Linux all the time. Go back to your playstation.
Infinity Ward declared earlier this week, in one of my top-hitting stories, that they will NOT be changing the PC version. See the alternative source, "Infinity Ward Puts Foot Down, Final Word."
Poor editing, poor fact checking, slow to the punch - how did this get approved?
The PC Gaming Alliance, sponsored by Microsoft, Epic Games, and plenty of other devs, did a wide study and found (last year) that there are over 250 million PC Gamers ONLINE ONLY (not including SP) worldwide. Compete with that. The PC is a viable platform for everyone, and it has many more owners than consoles - Bejewled, for example, has sold 25 million. That is phenomenal.
To another poster: A boycott does not involve pitchforks, that'd be a riot or Frankenstein :)
<...
Thanks for your kind words, random internet user. We all have our right to report and act - I smell a possible method to make it clear that PC gamers won't take this kind of crap. We've all been singularly boycotting, but an organized group is much more effective.
We've been following the story here at GN, and so far we've been getting responses out of IW (albeit unwanted ones, they are responses). Hopefully we can push their buttons and get one final, firm "NOT NOW, NO...
Well saiid, see you on BF:BC2.
Regardless, if it sucks no one will buy future games. Read the article before commenting.
Edit.: Mistajeff put it perfectly.
Define "Equal ground," because your hardware is obsolete. What video card is in the Xbox again? Is the memory interface even 128-bit? Still 65nm?
Dugg
That'll have to be the next article :P
Do you know what boycott means? www.dictionary.com
Wow, gross. That face + the horse hips... ugh
