shouldn't it be:
"Xbox360 outselling PS3 is some/most territories for Week Ending 16th September 2007"

You are funny guy.

"The processor is the brains of any modern cpu system" - I thought CPU was always a brain of any system, unless it is 360 invention!

Are you comparing CPUs or GPUs. 360's GPU is maybe 5% more powerful than PS3 GPU but if it comes to CPUs - CELL is much faster.

"I read the designs of the 360 and was thoroughly impressed that is why I have it in my house today"
- if you bought 360 in 2005 ... well it was on...

".. HD DVD realized that their HD15 (15gb) and HD30 (30gb) disks are plenty enough to hold everything a movie needs to hold, including lossless audio and extra bonus features"

No.... HD DVD DID NOT realized that their HD15 (15gb)is enough.

It is Red Laser Wavelength(650nm) that made decision for them how much data can fit DVD size disk.

How come more space on disk can be bad?
HD-DVD and BD are both a piece of plastic. If one hold more data then the other shouldn't it be a good thing?
More extra features, more interactive content, less compression, multi path movies, maybe game and a movie on the sa disk.

More storage always give you more options, even if you not going to use it today, what about next year?

Programming for CPU(based on Intel,IBM) used in PC and 360 is basically CODE centric.
You write code and feed data as needed. This is how software has been being developed for last 30 years. Algorithms evolve at same time as CPU evolves so there is plenty of documentation, source code and examples.

With CELL the situation is very different. CELL is DATA centric, to write really fast efficient code one has to understand that how you stream data is what performance you go...

China did not choose HD-DVD. They decided to go with their own HD format that is BASED on HD-DVD and is not going to be 100% compatible with HD specs... just like they done with cell phone technology.

... makes disk more expensive to produce .. so 3L HD is not cheaper than 2layer BD

And for PC market 3-layer disks would make it even more expensive option.
For example compare prices of current DVD-R <Single Layer> to <Double Layer>

I think you forget that HD-DVD:
- debuted 6 months ahead of BD
- Toshiba's HD players were priced much lower than BD
- Picture quality of released HD movies was much better than BD

Shouldn't HD be crushing BD by now?
How long do you think Toshiba can subsidize their own players?

...not host the game?
Create your own game and people will come and join your server/game.

xbox 360
1) has been out for 22 months.
2) majority of devs has been working with xbox 360 dev kits for 3 to 3.5 years (according to "Infinity Ward")
3) Easy to develop
4) MS provides best tools.

PS3
1) has been out for 10 months.
2) majority of devs got their dev kits very late:July/Aug 2006 (not including first party devs)
3) Hard to develop.
4) Limited dev tools support

Q: How come ports/mult...

If you serious about about small letters then you have 3 solutions:
1) press and hold CTRL and roll mouse wheel.
2) Use OPERA browser- select text--> press V -->Opera will read for you, it's IBM technology so it sounds OK.
3) Don't read at all.

About month ago I watched "Beyond tomorrow" rerun from 2001 !!!(I think) and they showed prototype of toy camera (It wasn't call eye toy). According to Beyond T. Sony has been working on Augmented Reality since 1995.
IF new Eye Toy supports that technology then eye toy is much more then a camera.

Movie is 2 years away plus another 6 moths before it comes on DVD. By that time Universal may not be HD-DVD exclusive!

15 BR movies
8 Games

So I use PS3 for both: movies and games.
Even if 30% buy/watch movies on their PS3s that's still significant number compared to HD.

1) 360 downloadable HD movies are 720p and I think they include only 1 sound stream. That's why they are 3 to 5GB(HD and Blu are 17 up to 40GB)
HD DVD or Blu-ray are 1080p/1080i plus plenty other features(2x resolution)

2) Most people prefer to own movies. Pay for something they will expire in 4 days and then you have re-buy and most of the time download again due to limited storage.

Then, I guess, all devs should turn their efforts to "Wii" - it cheap, easy to develop.

Because is internal Power Supply it must be 50-100% bigger then actual MAX usage.

Just think if they would put 200W PowSupply then during playing PowSupply would work at 100% and because is internal generated heat would fried system in min.

360 has 3 cores. Threading is a sharing time/cycles by single core by runnig multiple processes at the same time. Just like your PC. More application you run at the same time PC seems to be slower and slower but the apps appear to run at the same time.

Simplified example would be:
a) if you use 3 cores single threaded they can run 3 x 3.2GHz
b) 3 cores double threaded must share full speed of a core so the can run 6 x 1.6GHz.

Threading doesn't multi...

"Resistance multiplayer graphics r alot worse than its single player" -not true, just not as many different objects/parts of environments compering to single player.

"and almost no interactivity in enviorments" - obviously you have never played Resistance multiplayer.
