It is truly a sad time for my PS4 owners when a remastered last Gen title from a year ago is their most anticipated game.
Yet these same people whine about how cross Gen is holding Next Gen back.
You guys do realize these games have nothing to do with the movie franchise don't you?
Last Gen still has a large install base. It would be foolish for companies to outright abandon last Gen consoles this early into the generation.
Yeah, because over 5 million copies sold within the first two months is a "flop".
N4G logic.
I'm sorry, but anyone who buys a PS4 just to use this service, (especially with these prices) is a moron.
I remember buying a PS3 around this time last year, and people were telling me how I should have bought a PS4 instead because they thought Sony would stop supporting the system once next Gen hit.
Fast forward nearly a year later, and pretty much every "next Gen" game has been released on last Gen consoles, and most exclusives have been delayed to 2015. Even games coming out at the end of next year like the Tomb Raider sequel and MGS V are being released on last Gen ...
There are plenty of games that are still released with most, if not all content included. It's mainly companies like Activision and Capcom that deliberately take out 50% of the game and charge extra for it. Most other companies either start developing DLC after a game is released, or simultaneously develop it separately from the full game. DLC itself isn't bad. It's just too many developers abuse it to make quick cash grabs instead of memorable content that expands on an already c...
This guy failed to mention the $500 million accounts for the 10 years of support including sequels and other marketing material. Not just for the development of this game. But I understand journalists can't spout sensationalist garbage without misrepresenting facts so it's not surprising.
Wanting a game to fail over baseless assumptions. It is truly pathetic what the gaming community has come to.
How is an 80% metactitic average and over 5 million sales considered a flop? I can't stand these click bait articles.
Most of these games were free on PS+ a month ago. I find it funny how this sale is meant to show off how expansive the playstation library, yet it makes it seem like the entire lineup consists of cheap indie titles and cross platform games. The only decent exclusives on this list are the Ratchet and Clank titles, even though I already own them.
E3 demos are usually heavily scripted compared to the final product.
True. Developers should focus more on creating the best performance possible for their games, instead of trying to reach an arbitrary amount of pixels on the screen, that no one will even notice while playing.
Higher resolution does not mean better graphics. 900p and 720p are virtually indistinguishable from each other. There is barely any noticeable difference in quality. If you buy one version of Watch dogs on a certain platform solely based on a slight resolution increase that's barely noticeable, then you are a tool.
I don't think anyone was debating whether the trailer was CGI or in game footage. The distinction is obvious.
Fucking weeabo.
Videogame stories have been rivaling movies for the past two decades. And most, don't have to strip away the game play aspect in order to accomplish that.
The correct statement should be. "I'll be dead before MY game stories rival GOOD movies."
That footage was released 3 days ago. Nice try.
Being that this is a cross Gen title, it makes sense to compare both versions visually since it was developed simultaneously for both both consoles.
This isn't like comparing a Genesis game and a PS3 game since they are different games developed for specific consoles and are generations apart from each other. Your logic doesn't make sense at all.
What the hell does Naruto have to do with this?
The Last of Us was downgraded compared to the E3 demo. Not just in graphics, but in AI behavior as well. Stop being a fanboy acting like other developers don't do this sort of thing.
