I dunno, the 2600 was designed very, VERY badly. [Because it had to be as cheap as possible]

Even that would require a nice CPU to do and a lot of overhead. If it can do that, I my self will be impressed.
Truthfully, the Wii was the first really cheap piece of hardware they made. All around cheap.
All before that though is top notch. Especially in the early years.

That's just the stupidest thing I've read. It probably has a 200Mhz PIC-like processor [Custom, of course] that handles everything, no worries, it'll be enough. You gonna put a HD 6000 series ATI GPU in the thing JUST because it has a screen? No. It's a simple, small, LCD screen, live with it not being able to do high-end 3D graphics by it's self.
Nah, it's good that they added so much hardware, expandability, and made it pretty much an NES with extra features. Hardware wise though, Genesis was better, but SNES had a better VDP and sound. But enough details, as the top things that make a system is games. SMW and Yoshi's Island are two of the best platformers ever, and Sonic is great, but not nearly as achieved. Plus, when you add Earthbound, Chrono Trigger, and stuff like Mario cart, it just put it in a whole other league that...

Disks still take $5 to make for the whole thing. They just don't want to give it to us for some reason, maybe because it'd make other gamers scaredabout games they don't know about cming out by Nintendo?!?!

Lol, blu-ray is new tech, but it's the same basic principle with the laser. It just changes the frequency of the light which isn't that big of a jump with lasers at all. Even blu-ray isn't of the quality they had it in the labs when the PS3 was released with about 20 layer disks.

It doesn't matter what's played most. Of course good multiplat games will even outsell the exclusives, but those are MULTIPLATFORM, so it doesn't matter what system, they will do better.

Sony's drives have always been crap. Although they're getting better. But PS1's failure is about 50%, which is TERRIBLE, but it was new tech so I consider it a good reason about it. But by the PS3's release it should have been fixed, which it's not, sony always makes bad disk drives. They just do.

But back in 07 when 360 had a good onslaught of games coming out, it was hard to beat. Now a days, PS3 has more diversity while the 360 only suits people who play FPS's, which is sad but true.
