Making a cloud console would be suicide. For a good reason, too.
"Many designs and nrilliant features were born in part thanks to consoles limitations and working around them."
Great point that is lost today. I do NES stuff and can say that imposing restrictions only makes better ways around them. Look at Mega Man 2 and tell me how the building scrolls differently from the other part of the screen. It doesn't move and puts sprites over it, which is the key to doing that effect. Just one of many work around's older games u...
The Article Maker can't use vehicles and just thinks:
1. Tanks suck.
2. Planes are worse.
Because he can't use them. Teh Pwned Life joke. ;)
I stopped reading at "Nintendo....return to PC." because of obvious reasons.
And investing in consoles for these companies makes sense for them. No piracy unless they break your software, which you update with a patch and fix it once you find the flaw. And plus you can keep some companies on your console only. Like LIMBO was on Xbox for the longest time only. And Retro City Rampage. Same idea. And then there's online play, and then you also won't have outsid...
Nothing proprietary. And don't go out and about to make your system better that you can't directly port stuff from PC to it. [Sony] Better hardware. [Both] Indie support. [More from everyone] 4GB RAM for the CPU alone. [Must for the bloat of the languages as computers evolve] DX11 or equivalent with a card capable of doing a DX12 upgrade or other features added to it later. [Both] Quad core processors. Using x64 only, getting off the old and bulky x86 that PC's have been based on ...
Reference to CoD made me lol.
Behold the power of advertising to casuals. It's what sold the Wii to everyone the first time, and it will also sell the games because it is the same thing they fell for the 1st time and nothing has changed since then. Although the game is a good thing to get away from all those strung out guitar games and crap.
Ghost is fine as long as they don't give people gillie suits! I can't tell you how many millions of times I was shot with a Galail by a SNIPER. Don't dress them like one if they have a machine gun when they spawn. MAJOR oversight.
There shall always be Rambo players. It's COD.
Bummer! :(
Why ask this question? Bad article.
Just imagine BF2 on Bad Company's Frostbite engine but upgraded with better destruction and more vehicles and bigger maps. It's not that hard to realize that it's Battlefield THREE, and you know that COD game has a prequel. We already know how both games are going to play!
As long as they don't "balance" them by nurfing every gun and requiring 2/3 of a clip to kill somebody it should be fine. Besides the Rangers and Models, they have balancing okay. And I'm sure they lurned from the Ranger/Model mistakes from MW2.
If you just ignore it, they don't hear the outcry of disappointment from people. This series has the chance to kill most the rest by doing major improvement and being a step ahead and actually trying new and exciting stuff with a improved game engine, but every game is about to do that exact thing to COD now. The hate is from everyone being stabbed in the back because they believed it'd actually stay ahead and be the best, but all the loyal fans have been let down.
More like you're either tired of the rehashes or are still a sheep. :)
Those COD4 days were amazing, thankfully somebody agrees. The series has been nothing but adding crap to it. Drawing out the campaign, making the multiplayer extremely bland and nurfed and just sucking it all down. :(
Not old enough to purchase it, but same different. 10 year old's shouldn't be online on gaming. Especially not in COD. Especially not on my team! :P
I love how Activision chose to "Balance" the game, make greandes only give hit marks and add flak jacket on top of that and then make it so every gun clip will pretty much kill 1 person. And gives snipers Galail's because as you know, walking people in sniper camo usually don't have sniper rifles.
Pathetic way to do it, treyarch. If you did something NEW you wouldn't have that problem.
It's essential because the kids who will love it can't make money to buy his own games! ;D
I hated Sonic 4 too. The animations were so wonky, and controls were slow and just the whole thing didn't flow. I'll stick to my genesis for Sonic for now, unless they show they can put some fun flow and good controls out in their new games.
A game that never even got a sequel called Crystalis would be amazing, as it destroys every other AA/RPG on the NES and deserves it. Too bad Nintendo gobbled up those rights though, It'll never happen because it'd compete with Zelda too much.
