The article goes on to say precisely that. (The lifetime sales part, not the pointless part).
This new show called South Park. The events in the game are game based on scenes from the show.
Not the the major sites use it, anyway. They're quite likely too afraid of having fanboys leave them.
You know a game is bad, when you give it a 5.5.
Which in my mind is like... mediocre-ish.
Well, I just managed to attend in time. It's closed now, though, so no one else can attend.
To anyone who might disagree: Shhhhhhh.
Well, that's just [censored]
Weird. A separate comment posing as a reply.
I wouldn't necessarily agree that any of those are overhyped. But while I think it's a little too soon to say anythng about Titanfall's following (although, it will probably be quite big), and while both Resistance and Killzone have their share of cult followers, I agree that Halo has a crowd like no PlayStation-only FPS.
Then again, this article was never about MS vs PlayStation, so it's strange ...
More than a little ovesimplifying. Also, starting almost with the premiss that Halo was overhyped? Brave.
ADDED:
But yeah, I agree that the hype for Titanfall was a little nuts a little too early. I mean, how many "Game of Show"s did it get at E3 before we had seen hardly anything at all?
A lot of that was extremely irrelevant, but I'll see if I can cut through. There's also this new thing the kids are doing called structure.
I think this is getting quite ridiculous. I'd encourage you to take a look at what I meant by attitude. It wasn't what a judgement on what mood you're in.
If you want me to stop judging you (which I hardly did, I judged what you're doing, not your personality or mood etc.), then don't make as...
A person can hold any opinion on a game without it being wrong since there's no objective way by which to review games. Reviews are subjective.
Notice how you don't really criticise his opinion or argue against it. You just refer to other reviews (well, not even reviews, but scores) and say that since so many other people are of a different opinion - this guy's opinion is illegitimate.
It would be completely fair for you to disagree with this re...
@RoboticusRex
*It's called proofreading.
If you're going to insult someone every time they mistype something, at least don't do any typos of your own.
Moron.
So by that logic you can't state an opinion that's different from most reviewers without seeking attention. Boy, you must live in an aenodyne world.
There are plenty of times when review scores have been really high, but then fans complain about the game when they get to play it, so an input which is different from the norm is not something to be afraid of.
No, it really doesn't. Also, this is not foresight - he has actually played the game.
Beautiful comment on the fragility of life. This PlayStation tower stands as a reminder that we're not here on earth forever, and that we need to take care of and protect one another regardless of any perceived boundaries like race, gender or beliefs.
We are all one, and I am just kidding about all of that.
@All of the above
How was any of that a reply to my comment?
@Prime167
Well, it's a little difficult to say. To be wrong you kind of have to make a point, something you did extremely poorly.
I mean, based on what you said, I think this is related.
- Consumer demand for consoles is traditionally higher per capita in Japan.
- PS4 sales have always been subject to limited supply.
- Demand hasn't "...
No, just no. All the Wii U needs is a library of its own and some commercials.
"I think it’s quite safe to say that the PlayStation 4 will have a great opening week. I’ve seen some gamer comments which expect this to outdo the PlayStation 2′s miraculous performance of 980,000 in two days, but I have to disagree with such predictions. Still, you don’t necessarily need PS2 numbers to be successful. I think PS4 will sell very well, but not hit that crazy-high PS2 figure. (But between you and me, I’d love to be wrong!)"
So, yeah, not really a ...
There's no doubt that the Xbox One is doing fine thus far. With Titanfall around the corner it's set to do quite well for some time too. PS4 is just doing even better.
The Last Guardian
Shenmue III
Jak 4
God of War III
Guerilla Games Killzone IP
Demon's Souls
Sony London New IP
Media Molecule New IP
Quantic Dream New IP
Crash Bandicoot? (3rd non-existing ND-team??)
Play Beyond.
PlayStation 3 will easily be the greatest this generation. Killzone 2, inFamous, Resistance: Fall of Man, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune and Motorstorm are just the beginning!
Usually agree with Jonathan Blow, but that comment was pretty ridic.
Yes, every franchise was a new IP once, but now they're not, and in the cases of Call of Duty, Assassin's Creed and God of War, they're pretty certain to sell better the second time around. There's no doubt that an established franchise like Call of Duty is on safer grounds now than it once was.
