Yes, I can imagine that PlayStation made that list themselves.
Most of the games are recent (so you might ending up buying them), one of them is Hohokum (is it really that strange? Or that good?) and another one is Puppeteer (same).
And Flower, Ni No Kuni and Valkyria Chronicles are hardly more peculiar than anything else.
@ritsuka666
No, but the large amounts of PS4 exclusive games
probably will. Arguably Vita/PS4 titles too.
EDIT:
To correct myself, Persona 5 and Pirate Warriors 3 probably will, even if cross-gen. I mean, if Watch Dogs and Black Ops can sell PS4 in US, why not?
So that was an absolute onslaught of a press conference. Must be even bigger in Japan, though, where pretty muched everything they showed today is considered huge.
What that Danganronpa game was, I will never know.
Yeah, and Pirate Warriors 3 and Bladestorm was announced. So suddenly PS4 pretty much owns that genre.
Interesting read and a very understandable opinion. A lot of these goalless games feel like overblown tech demoes.
@Godmars
You see that in The Order and Quantum Break? They're not even out of yet. For what it's worth, I think they both look better than average.
"Setting a game in such a normal place tells the player 'you are safe here,' at first"
Did anyone feel this way?
I sure didn't feel very safe waking up on the cold floor leading into a gloomy hallway. The "what is real" intro didn't make me feel more at home, either.
I thought this month was a step up! First month in some time where I actually want three of the games.
Sports Friends, nice. Velocity 2X also nice.
Joe Danger for PS Vita? Sure.
A step up from last time, I think. At least from the perspective of someone who has Vita, PS3, PS4 and FEZ already.
In addition to what iamnsuperman said, one has to appreciate the events that unfold, particularly near the end of the Last of Us. It seems obvious to me that it has a little more going for it event-wise than your average zombie-flick.
When there's a streaker in a football game, the producer films anything but the streaker. Why? So that the streakers won't get the attention they want and so that others won't be inspired to do the same.
Should we do the same with hacking and DDoS'ing, and not promote this?
Also: Hardly a reliable source. If anything, the hacker proves that anyone can take credit.
I heard Trials Fusion was having issues as well.
Hell yes! This is my most wanted title as of now.
Indeed. I'm just joking :)
Yeah! Unlike all these other services that go up and down at a whim, you can rely on Nintendo's online service to always never work.
I jest, though. They've gotten a lot better.
Also, I love being politically incorrect as much as the next guy, but the ISIS joke and #jihad?
You guys suck. Joking about one of the worst things to happen the last years is one thing, but calling kids/manchildren sitting in front of their computers a holy war? That is an offense to terminology.
Yes, but people should realise that there are several types of attacks, and that in fact, the more advanced ones are incredibly difficult to defend against.
I'd be surprised if Sony didn't have DDoS protection on servers and needed a proxy, like captaincool31 suggests. SYN-floods and very simple methods of DoS are simple to defend against. Others not so much.
It's actually not that easy to defend against the more sophisticated types of DDoS attacks.
In fact, several major servers have gone down because they've been flooded with illegitimate requests.
Also, the rationale behind the attack was that people should be able to protect against that kind of attack? Ridiculous.
Would you break into a house AND steal all the stuff to prove to the owner that someone could come in and steal all your...
I know right! It looks nothing like the game it is a remake of! /slight sarcasm
The original Tearaway was beautiful and unique, though. Too bad it couldn't be the system seller Vita deserved.
I mean, from the top of my head:
Danganronpa: Bear-headmaster tells students to kill each other. That's PlayStation exclusive, awesome and weird.
Prinny: 1000 demon penguins go hunting for dessert and/or underwear.
Noby Noby Boy: Surrealistic things stretches towards greater goals. Weird, at least.
Nevermind everything else that has ever been made in Japan. Ni No Kuni is about as weird as FFX.
