With Halo Reach and numerous other titles already proving a much brighter year for the 360 than this year and Sony continuing its roll with God of War and Gran Turismo 5, the winner is going to be harder to decide when it comes to games.

The 360 and PS3 are going to have a smashing 2010, can't wait to see what happens.

Lol, that's a typical excuse, blaming the media when they are anti-Ps3 and praising the media when it's pro-PS3.

But it happens with a lot of things, not just the PS3.

but GoW on PS2 sold about 2 million to 3 million copies and that was at the end of the PS2 cycle. Not that that is bad, but with a smaller install base with the PS3, I wonder how GoW3 will do.

This is where I expect advertisements to play a huge role and considering how Sony's ads are so much more effective I expect great sales for GoW3

Is for the game to deliver on the scale and grand story we have all come to know from God of War.

It's going to be a great game, and I can't wait to see the new IP from Santa Monica after GoW3

Exactly.

It's undeniable that LIVE offers an amazing service... for a fee.

PSN being free is the better deal, but as an overall package, if you don't mind parting with around $50 a year for LIVE, LIVE is the better service.

Now that PSN is going to offer a Premium service though, I think it would be fair to compare PSN Service to LIVE Service, but I want to see what Sony includes in the PSN Premium.

It would be amazing if you could rent movi...

Instead of its console being a standard graphical update, it decided to reinvent how games were played and they innovated motion control.

Say what you want, but they took a risk, it paid off BIG time, and now Sony and Microsoft are following in Nintendo's shoes trying to replicate the success. All that are characteristics of innovation.

Sure, the Wii is annoying with its predominantly casual market and Nintendo hasn't been doing much to offer something a little more ...

Focusing too much on the nice little details while forgetting about the bigger picture.

Don't get me wrong, GTA IV is great, but I still prefer the trilogy from last gen.

The little details were jaw-dropping, but I got bored with it quick.

Yakuza has always been a successful kick-ass series and it's good to see it finally getting localized

Random blogs like this shouldn't be approved.

People are just butthurt because some websites dare say Bayonetta is better.

They hurt fanboy feelings, plain and simple. So what happens when people can't take a wee comparison? They write a blog (fair enough) and people approve it as news.

People can't take the fact that opinions exist, and that is all this is: a massive amount of opinions based on preconceived notions.

Sure, it's a little hast...

In terms of sales COD will have BFBC2 beat, but in terms of a better game, they are pretty unique in their own way.

Besides, why does one have to be better than the other?

I must admit though, that my first BF game was '43 on PSN, and I was very frustrated by cheap tanks, uncooperative players, and weak rockets that did little damage to the tanks (I assume taking down a tank is based on teamwork, but of course, players are uncooperative).

Playing BFBC2 t...

twitter, last FM and Facebook are much better incorporated on LIVE than using the clunky web browser on PS3.

And I assume they mentioned L4D2 because its not on PS3 so it counts as a bonus for 360 (this isnt about exclusives).

As soon as round 5 and round 6 came I knew that the 360 would be knocked down.

I find value and features are redundant as they both are pretty much the same thing, but regardless, the Trey finally tastes it sweet victory and it onl...

Definition is important if you are going to misuse the word.

Again, it's not DLC because it is a standalone game that contains as much content as other retail games. So yes, that does play a factor when misusing the definition. It has nothing to do with ODST having a short campaign but I never made that correlation-- you did.

Edit:

@1.10, show me first. Not that I dont believe you, but I want to see the exact source and quote.

ODST STARTED as DLC but became bigger.

A lot of games aren't worth the "price tag" but that's no reason to negate ODST considering it features more content than single player games like Heavenly Sword.

People rag on it for the length of the story when not only do you have a story, but there is all MP content, 3 new maps, AND a co-op mode.

It's unfair to pick just on ODST for "not being worth the price tag" when many other games are vi...

And as stated above, it is a standalone game so not necessarily an expansion pack.

If anything, ODST is a spin-off title

6035d ago 1 agree10 disagreeView comment

It wasn't DLC or an expansion pack by definition since the game was a standalone game.

Whether it was worth $60 is questionable, but there a lot of games that fall under the question of being worth the price tag.

all those things you listed don't necessarily make a game "innovative", just very different and very unique. It shows with Killzone 2. It's not a COD game or a Halo game, but it's definitely something that requires a bit more practice.

Innovative games tend to pull out new ideas and then LEAD other games to the same. The author of this terrible article tries to show just that by constantly comparing K2 to MW2 despite his lack of knowledge. He clearly hasn't played MW2 s...

I hate how these opinion pieces from random websites gets approved.

His reasons are terrible and it ends up doing more harm to the game than good. Of course this kind of stuff gets approved by raging people who approve based on the title instead of the actual content of the article.

Look at their reasons:

Mobile Gun Turrets? Wtf? I don't even understand their attempt at trying to differentiate from the MW2 one. And has he ever heard of TEAM FORTRESS 2?? ...

Wrestling games have become lazy. Like sports games, they come out once a year and feature minimal updates.

Wrestling games from THQ these days needs a huge overhaul because the product they have now is slow, clunky, outdated, and just not fun.

talk about stating the obvious, how did this common knowledge get approved anyway?

Though the PS3 version is going to be the popular choice, I'm surprised the 360 version isn't as inferior as I thought it'd be.

Of course FF13 probably could have been miles better if it was only on PS3 with SE taking full advantage of the PS3 but the PS3 didn't get off to such a great start back in the day.

I'm pretty sure they are suspensions, not bans.

Also, it's being used on LIVE servers so it is their business. Sure it's not their game but it's running on their servers under XBL. I see nothing wrong with handing out suspensions when people fail to follow the terms of use. I'd much rather prefer people getting punished for glitching and abusing advantages that aren't supposed to exist rather then having them run wild in my games. MS is simply taking the voluntary precautions of ...

Looks cool and all, but it looks expensive. The last thing I need is being milked past the initial Wand.

The lack of analog sticks worries me greatly too. I want this to succeed, but from the looks of the attachments, I don't want Sony to make this their main focus. I fear it will fail (lack of support, expensive, too many casual games, etc) if Sony focuses on motion controls too much.

To be honest I think it would be better for Sony to continue delivering great game...
