Surprised to see Demon's Souls take the PS3 GOTY, BUT it is highly deserving of the award.
Though the expected GOTY is now up for debate, I will absolutely LOVE it if Demon's Souls wins the whole freaking thing.
UC2 is great, but Demon's Souls is just as good if not better IMO. Both are tied for my personal GOTY picks.

Seriously, the game is kick ass and it's very hard for me to pick between DS and UC2.
I don't why everyone above is complaining with UC2 not winning GOTY. DS is just as worthy as a candidate...
I doubt that standard will be reached anytime soon to be perfectly honest. It's such a well rounded game.
I just wish they had planned beforehand to make story mode DLC but at least Multiplayer keeps people around.
It's called GOTY for a reason. Meaning only one title can hold that position. It's a nearly clean sweep with UC2 ZaaKing ;)

Anyways, even though UC2 is a marvelous game I am having trouble choosing between Demon's Souls and UC2... surely there can't be two GOTY titles... dark, depressing, ultra addictive gameplay RPG or vibrant, enthusiastic, action-packed platform...
Who cares about them? Every site has its trolls. There are Fanboys, there are the minority fanboys, and then are trolls. I've had people tell me HHG is "legit". I'm sorry, but just because he, or anyone else for that matter, attends big press events doesn't make him any more "legit" than it does Gamespot when they had that whole Army of Two scandal with Jeff.

Gamespot has been doing multiplatform comparisons for a long time.
It makes no sense to compare exclusives because there is little to complain. You are making a criticism away from the context of the comparison. The point is to compare multiplatforms, so telling them to compare exclusives is irrelevant and nonsense.
It would be hard to compare exclusives because PC would win each and every time too ;)

Like fine wine the game just gets better with age. The new water update is amazing and adds a new dimension in the game's variety. I already see many crappy levels trying to sucker in players by making a basic water level for hits, but there are also some very great ones from legends like Wexfordian.
Was expecting Killzone 2, especially considering the website's domain. MW2 was great. If K2 is not going to be first it's at least nice to see it 2nd.

The piano piece in "Unforgotten" is absolutely mesmerizing.
Bottom line is Halo does soundtracks very well.
Not since Shadow of the Colossus or Dark Cloud 2 have I heard such an awesome soundtrack

I agree with the writer that playing Uncharted 2 really set the bar in what to expect from future titles. I doubt we will see many games come close to the polish of Uncharted 2 anytime soon considering that Uncharted 2 was made with the love of Sony's cash and the talent of Naughty Dog.
