Anyways! This is the kind of support I'm loving for Home. I don't mind advertisements like this because

a) It comes with sponsored games and fun
b) It keeps Home free

I like community events in Home like Xi.

Sony should make more puzzle games/rat races for the community. I think what Home would benefit from is in-game currency of some kind. Winning games, community events, even visiting should accumulate Ho...

I don't mind Gold costing money, though it would be nice for it to be free. But I think that if MS is going to offer something like a Game Room they should make it completely free-- or at least create some kind of in-game credit system.

Didn't think it would be so long, my bad.

Also, I hope my article doesn't sound like I'm saying Game Room is like Home. I understand it's simply XBLA with a new design interface, but I thought I'd make the comparison anyway since the aim is the same: to unite (Casual) gamers into a social hangout in the attempts of simulating something you can do in real life :)

I'm also not sure how far the uniting aspect of GR is. I understand that it's up to two players only, but ...

Lol. Nice.

I have doubts about Natal supporting hardcore games, but we will see. I know MS is just trying to remove doubts but I'm just waiting for them to walk the walk than talk the talk.

Pros:
-Clear focus on games
-Multiplayer (with local play I think)
-High scores, achievements, etc.
-Voice chat

Cons:
-Stripped down version of Home
-Costs money (to my knowledge)

Regarding Home, I think MS has done a good job looking at Home and deciding to offer just the gaming portion of it. I know one thing 360 fans are saying is that there is a lot of walking in Home. This is only somewhat true: you can EASILY, with two or thr...

On one hand, they are the most experienced with the console and know the PS3 the best. On the other hand, they are exaggerating and they work for Sony they are obviously going to say something like this.

Regardless, I don't think this has to be said. Uncharted 2 alone proves that the PS3 is chock-full of potential and techno-treasure.

Home will continue to grow slowly. The service still has a few nagging issues (I hate how slow stuff are sometimes and I wish they would refine the games-- for example, create a decent chess board in the mall, etc).

However, Game Room seems simple enough while Home is full fledged and free.

The irony of course is MS is playing catch up with Sony this time around when it comes to online service.

It has a core audience that play a lot.

As for Game Room, it's a neat idea but pretty much a stripped down version of Home.

But like everything else, it comes down to the games, so if Game Room manages to pull off some nice things it will be great. Frankly I doubt it considering there are many mini games on Home. Home will continue to grow, it has great support, and players, and once Game Room comes along it will have to do some catching up. It's interesting and a bi...

Every one of them. I had no problem getting used to them, and each of them were unique.

It's not that I don't like the maps in MW2, but I just don't care for them as I did for CoD4.

Agreed. I really don't want it right now.

IW are a bunch of a-holes. They know the game has lingering issues, horrible glitches and exploits, balancing issues, they make one worthless patch that doesn't even fix it's main issue (nerfing akimbo 1887's actually can be restored back to pre-patch by attaching FMJ), and now they are moving to DLC in some greedy attempt to make more cash.

I know they keep promising to look and consider the community problems but they aren'...

I strongly have doubts about Natal going controller-free.

I mean, I can understand MS wanting to appeal to a more casual audience, but they are also planning on putting more of their hardcore games like Gears on Natal. It can result in games being forced, gimmicky, and can end in disaster.

I'm also not sure if MS is aiming to run the 360 and Natal side by side or if MS is aiming to replace the 360 with Natal. I say this because MS boasts Natal for being controller fr...

Good job covering various points throughout the decade though.

The PlayStation brand has made such a big impact on the industry. The PS2 is the crown achievement of Sony, it truly is the console of the decade IMO.

But I don't mind. Like a lot of evangelists they only spout things that convince people who are as like-minded as them.

The greatest sin for a fanboy to commit is probably playing the enemy console. It's like sleeping with the devil behind their brand's back in some sick and twisted adulterous relationship.

Do you realize he failed to give any reason for anything he stated? He states that this is MS's LAST keynote? Just because it doesn't "wow" doesn't mean MS is a sinking ship for CES. It's terrible logic.

And, since you fail to give any good reason as to why I "jump ship" it's clear you don't understand the fault of the article.

It's funny how you think I have a love for MS, yet I don't even own a 360-- I've already stated on my profile that I'm mo...

When has CES ever been hyped as something important?

How is this their last year? Sounds so unprofessional.

Right now they are working on DLC.

Funny. What's with the title though? Seems a little mean.

Anyways, I wonder how much these analysts get paid for making random, but calculated predictions.

I think this prediction sounds reasonable. Though, I don't see it affecting much-- Halo Reach is going to be a crazy sales boost while Final Fantasy 13 might do the same for PS3 in the US (the fact that it is multiplatform may not change much).

Actually, I'm expecting Gran Turismo to be the PS3 booster more than anything considering there is a quiet but large fanbase fo...

It wasn't hyped or meant to be Halo 4, nor did it try to.

I understand why people complain that it's not worth the price because people complain that it was short. But:

a) Many games aren't worth their price, so I don't see why ODST is singled out

b) It still had more content than a lot of other games like Bioshock, Arkham Asylum, Dead Space, etc.

I think it's important to point out that ODST proved that Halo has a brand power and that slapp...
