As long as articles suck up to the majority it will be praised and approved. N4G isn't a place for proper journalism: it's just a circus where the majority approve and bias prevails.
Yes, these lists are done to death, with the same games, some in different order, some in the same position. It gets especially annoying in the beginning of a new year. I've seen 3 other "top 5 ps3 exclusives of 2010" but guess what? People tend to forget.
Ever watch the episod...
They decided to use the PS R1 R2/L1 L2 but decided to use the 360 d-pad -_-
I must say that the controller looks real slick. I am loving the recording/video buttons on the bottom which will totally rock. I love the concept of OnLive-- everything looks very futuristic and promising. Whether or not it will deliver is questionable but the guys that are making this are very educated and professional about their console (check out their University lecture).
So it seems li...
Just kidding.
What a horrible way to lose a PS3.
This falls under the "act of God" warranty so its covered (yes, I read the PS3 Manual, I was very excited when I got my PS3 and didn't want to screw anything up).
These lists are done to death, especially at the end of every year. Now IGN wants it slice. Oh, and Demon's Souls is ranked too low.
It's not so much that I don't want options-- its just that I feel Sony can spend their resources and time into something more effective.
But of course, I have no shortage of stuff to play on my PS3 and I really can't stop Sony from venturing into making a profit. I certainly wont use PS3 Fit and I don't think Sony has the power to take down Nintendo's Wii.
Let's face it: The Wii is marketed and driven by casual gamers, the PS3 is not. Sony is trying to reach more cas...
Saying MS used celebrities only further proves my point that Natal made a bigger impact than Wand.
I'm not saying one is better than the other because I'll reserve judgment but it's clear that MS was well prepared with showing off Natal's simplicity.
It's no secret that both Microsoft and Sony are trying to reach a broader market whilst advancing well past the Nintendo Wii.
Natal already has a lot of media hype and praise while the Playstation Wand hasn't made that big of an impact, likely due to the limited demonstration at E3, and the fact that that the Wand was in beta stages.
I assume that the PS3 Wand will only get better as it approaches its release.
Sony seems to be going after Nintendo a lit...
Does everything have to be a graphics king?
anyways, this was well rumored for so long so its hardly news. There have always been hints and people are just pretty much waiting for Jaffe to reveal his secret game already.
"Stoddard believed Abrams had stolen his PlayStation 3 game console, among other property"
Well if he stole other property why does PS3 have to be the center of focus? I know this is a gaming website, but why victimize a console when it is clearly one of many things stolen by a thief?
they defended friend codes in the past because they said they were protecting their consumers (kids) from the evil world of online.
Now they seem not to care for the children.
Nintendo is a big pile of laziness.
Actually, not laziness--- but they are severely unmotivated to compete because they are so above and beyond the competition in terms of where it matters most: money.
MS was and still is screwed with RRoD. Sony has trouble profiting f...
Sony has no reason to follow suit. What MS is essentially offering is a "glorified XBLA" which means you still pay for the games. It's very accessible, I will agree with that. Much more accessible than Home, but it's absolutely ridiculous for MS to charge PC gamers with this garbage considering you can play arcade games on your PC for FREE.
Also, Home is great. I'm not one to defend Sony too much on this site mainly because there are so many Pro-PS3 fans which forces me...
Oh trust me, I'm all for constructive feedback.
I do not disagree with people who find this article to be a poor excuse for an article, but these same people will turn a blind eye to "journalism" when somebody writes an equally absurd fanboy article hyping GoW to "blast UC2 out of the water".
My point isn't that this guy was being a fanboy/writing something constructive. My point was that people are attacking this for being a bad article when bad ...
When an article is over-selling GoW 3 to "blast" UC2 out of the waters nobody criticizes the bad journalism, but when somebody criticizes GoW3 it's all "bad article, waste of time" blah, blah, blah double standard hypocrisy.
For the record I do think this article is simply a way to get attention. What better way to get views than speculate on a popular game's demo. Same goes for the crappy "GoW blasts UC2 out of the waters" article.
Yet,...
"mostly everyone knows that a excellent rig will net you some of the best looking games you can get."
That's exactly why PC is brought in: because people forget about the PC and then manipulate rules to their benefit. When someone says UC2 is the best looking game on consoles then that is fine, but some will go as far as to state it has better graphics than PC games.
Then there is the issue that IF people are willing to ignore the PC, then why do they bring...
Then it's probably that mythological-enriched style that gives it the artistic edge. I would attribute that to atmosphere though, but perhaps they are one in the same.
@Troll
I hope your not implying that I'm referring to WoW. It's ironic that you name yourself the troll_police when you feign ignorance when it comes to the PC library and the best you can pull out is an MMORPG.
@Jack
The max a PC can do is likely miles better than your rig you have right now if you aren't seeing a major difference in your PC/PS3 games. Not trying to dog on your PC, but while the PS3 was built years ago the PC is an open platform that is...
I don't find anything particularly artistic about GoW.
A lot of games share that dark gloomy style. If anything, it's the mythological setting of the game that sets it apart.
If you want artistically significant games you should try out Okami or Fat Princess, something of that nature.
Well logically, yes. But you seem to forget about PC exclusives which compete against PC exclusives.
Oh that's right, we ignore the PC on here unless we are trying to undermine the 360 library of games by bringing up PC ports/versions.
thank you, I agree. This is typical hype. Uncharted 2 looked fantastic and I have no doubt GoW will either but saying GoW is going to blow UC2 is a pure over-exaggeration.
I will wait for GoW to come out. UC2's animations and graphical diversity is untouched on consoles, and unless God of War 3 has diversity like that I doubt GoW will "BLOW" UC2 out.
I don't mind this getting approved but the title is so ridiculous and full of the author's biased and subje...
I don't find this article necessary since it's not really important... but I like Demon's Souls so I'll post away:
The bosses of stonefang tunnel were pretty easy after some trial and error (obviously).
I had help with the Spider. I don't even think I did anything to take it down.
Flamelurker was so easy-- you simply needed to come prepared for the fight: tons of arrows or better yet, magic. Spam him to death and roll around a lot. Hell if your quick eno...
