Stacking was great, would love a sequel

Hey, don't get me nervous. I intend to buy a PS4 on launch, which is a first ever for me. Poor launch owners. Always getting bit in the ass for being loyal.

I always thought it would have been good on the parts of companies to offer some reward system for early buyers-- throw in some older games for free, start them with some online store credit, discount prices on games, etc., but I guess they can always rely on the diehard fans to sell to.

Opinions don't mean much if you can't back it up-- there's no sense calling one fanboy group worse than another, I don't understand how you conclude this based off a lack of Black Ops sales.

"No one is taking their side, we just see where they are coming from"

How so? What's the logic of expecting Wii U sales to somehow sell more copies of Black Ops? All because Activision thinks that because they finally put in effort that they ...

How can you blame Nintendo fans for not eating COD, when most of you on here wouldn't buy COD to begin with?

There was little reason to expect a Wii U port to sell to Nintendo fans-- they don't play games like COD the same way PS3/360 fans do. To expect all these Wii U owners, who likely already own COD on PS3/360 should they have those consoles, to jump on a stale franchise like COD that usually is aimed at teens and shooter fans is silly.

I also don...

I'd take them over nothing, I am that desperate. Just blur my vision and pretend the purple and orange plops of greatness are the originals.

Of course, that mindset exists on PlayStation too, though Xbox seems to have more social influence of friends/XBL.

I think, in terms of sales, the Kinect is the kicker here that can keep MS close to Sony. If the U.S market eats up Kinect 2.0, and the XBox as an entertainment hub, MS can continue to hold favour in the U.S. There is an audience of Wii owners that havent jumped to Wii U and are more likely to prefer MS's appeal.

The other thing I see MS real...

Ah, to live the days of Crazy Taxi, Sonic Adventure, Toy Commander, and Power Stone again..

You know, I didn't care for Emmett when he was announced, but he did play really well. The core combat of the characters are translated dedicatedly, so I'll appreciate that with Zeus and Isaac.

But to me, the stage has me most excited: Unfinished Swan x Medieval!

Is there anyone who doesn't perceive that they will like it? There were a lot of fans who thought that the DS3 controller was perfect, and did not want any changes. But this controller's ergonomics, size, sticks, triggers, and handles are all different.

Personally, I can see the problems people had with the DS3, and think the new controller really accentuates DS3's problems, or at least shows that the Dualshock 3 really had places that have benefitted from the new...

Core gamers doesn't necessarily refer to "hardcore", it refers to the heart of the audience. On that front, both MS and Nintendo deliver on what their core audience wants; Nintendo and Xbox exclusives. It's evident from sales that the core audience eats that up, and that core audiences exist on all three platforms.

That said, MS is branching out to extend their demographic of "core" audience, and Nintendo seems to be being Nintendo (personally, I f...

Uncharted 3 has a lot of DLC that they will continue to charge for, F2P opens up that revenue potential significantly. Just business.

4862d ago 5 agree4 disagreeView comment

It is. It was up on the PSBlog, I saw it, but I think they took that part down (probably waiting for ND to announce it first).

The game is so tricked out for the F2P model, so it makes perfect sense

Pretty dense complaints: If you dont want your friends to play for you, don't use the feature, select isn't gone and can be easily mapped to the touchpad, the controller is more than just a touchpad on a Dualshock 3. Flimsy reasoning, lazy dime-a-dozen opinion piece that bloats the front page.

I really think opinion pieces need a higher standard, it's much too easy to submit really low quality/flamebait articles and hide it behind "it's just my opinion&qu...

@Abash

From what the promo banner looks like, the HGH live alongside the ISA, hence the giant, Berlin-esque wall. I also have a heavy feeling, judging by the banner on Killzone's website, that the game will allow for us to play both factions.

While I enjoy the Final Fantasy-esque ISA world (something I wanted GG to explore), I do miss the brutality of Killzone 2, and I hope we get to play as the HGH and get that atmosphere too.

It's more than marketing: if people don't like the game as much as Halo, they wont play it as much as Halo. Killzone 2 sold quite a lot, but the majority didn't stay. If the game isn't going to appeal to the masses, no amount of marketing will make them stay.

Games like Battlefield, Halo, and COD may have a good amount of marketing behind them, but the games themselves have some solid foundations that keep people coming back. Social connectivity is a big one....

I would also like Move bundled, as I would like to see more confident support-- especially when it comes to shooters. I feel Move can be a good advertisement as a "competitive" input over the controller. Could be a good way to get hardcore Xbox COD fans over, though I doubt Activision would utilize it.

Take out the headset for a Move, or bundle it all together for a premium model and I'll be down

I'd love some kind of "rating" system.

If enough people report a user enough times for being whatever (noisy, racist, derogatory) and have the OS automatically mute them when they get put into lobbies.

I won't be surprised if they do-- I am sure MS will have similar hardware features when it comes to Operating Software-- this is after all, what Microsoft is best known for.

I expect to see live-streaming as part of a twitch deal, and I had a feeling when Sony decided to go with Ustream instead.

I am pretty excited to see these sort of features get integrated into consoles, Sony really nailed accessibility and simplicity, and I expect MS to do the same
