I think the rumour is that Sumo Digital is working on LBP3 for PS3.
You are right-- they need to stick to their guns, and they will. Despite the backtracking with DRM, Kinect is what they are most invested in.
There are a lot of options to tweak privacy settings according to MS, but unplugging it is simply the surest way to convince people.
And it seems evident that they are sticking to the $499 model. MS may not sell as well out of the gate, but they don't have to. Whether or not Kinect's integration will sell more O...
I wouldn't be surprised if they do this, but it's definitely not a good future for Kinect if the userbase is so fractured. It seems that they don't want to give Kinect up, but if you don't need it plugged in, then people are going to continue to push for a Kinect-less option.
MS has to consider if it's better to lower the price and compete out of the gate against PS4's pricing, or if Kinect is a long-term advantage that needs time for its consumers to ...
@Heavy
They also list Minecraft, GTA, Zelda, and the only thing you can take from that is that they "hate" PlayStation?
That's like saying it's distracting to take your thumbs off the Right stick to press one of the face buttons.
It becomes second nature to use the touchpad, like any other part of the controller.
Well said. Price is still a huge block for many. Especially with next gen swinging. Hoping for a redesign and price drop at Gamescom.
I am waiting for the day we see Minecraft on VITA. I still think that's the killer app that can fire up sales, more so than any COD title.
How do you find the 4v4?
Too small a number? Maps are just right for it? Is there a more tactical edge to the gameplay? Is the game faster paced because of 4v4, or does it feel more slow? Do you walk around a lot and shoot an enemy or two, or are firefights more hectic?
I'm also curious about creating loadouts, I'm assuming there are no class actions like reviving, setting turrets, etc?
I'd like that, plus as a VITA exclusive. Seems more fitting for a Jak sequel, and it'd move some VITAs
Lovely. I like PS3 themes. XMB made it look so elegant and spacious.
I hope I can even customize the size of the icons for PS4. If they are looking at mobile influences, UI customization is a huge plus for me
Can't believe how badly this game got managed. This menu design screams "hype". Sad to see how far the end result is from this vision.
I even remember the more finalized leaks showing more modes and stat tracking that never made it to the final game. I can understand why people thought it was such a mediocre, low budget title.
I enjoyed it through its many faults and disappointments, but it certainly is an IP that doesn't match Sony's ca...
Isn't this primarily on PC?
Unless the Kickstarter info is outdated, it seems that they intend to roll this out to PC first, and PS4/next gen at the next fundraising level
Hm, I wonder if glare will be an issue for some. I expect them to patch in the ability to turn off the light eventually. It loses half its appeal without a camera, which most wont buy, and any aesthetic features wouldn't be a necessity.
Xbox One= Xbox One
Though, the irony of seeing people's attitude take a 180 on some topics is funny to see, considering how some arguments that once worked this gen no longer work for next gen and vice versa.
^ Was Skype for VITA before the MS purchase?
Also, if I'm not mistaken, Skype for VITA is maintained and "run" by Sony.
Doubt we'll see it come to PS4 at all, if MS has anything to do with it.
Kinect is technically superior, if I'm not mistaken. You'd hope it better be if MS is focusing so much on it.
I actually wanted a PS4 camera. The tech demos were great, and the UI uses for it sound nice.
Unfortunately, when it comes to more practical uses, it's a game of developers waiting for consumers to buy it, and consumers waiting for developers to make it worth buying. It's a stalemate, for better or worse.
It's pretty obvious that they want to go third party.
It's interesting that he seems to favour Kinect integration. Both Kojima and Chen have stated interest for Kinect use, it'd be cool to see what they could do, as they seem most likely to make some good use of Kinect features.
Hopefully it's not Kinect-dependent entirely.. I'm somewhat concerned with how TGC seems to be talking about their future, since it sounds to be heading in the opp...
@Abash
I think it can only be good news, since he is often seen as the cause for Xbox's downfall and shift in demographic focus. At the very least, he was a terrible face for PR.
I dont really agree with calling Last of Us a horror game. It's a survival action game, sure, but Resident Evil 4 is still a more consistent, and much more scarier experience of a horror game.
There was only one real section in Last of Us where I was really scared (I'm sure most know what part).
I don't know why LoU is being compared to Resident Evil either, but if it's a straight up horror comparison, Resident Evil 4 is still the standard to ...
^ She's not "trying to get paid", she was simply answering a question from Reddit, it's evident that many people think Ellen actually played Ellie.
If they kept all the policies, people complain that they are out of touch, arrogant, doomed to fail.
Now that they do make all these changes, people still complain that they don't know what they are doing.
Sounds like they are damned if they do, damned if they don't.
These changes are definitely not the ideal product MS may have wanted, but these changes are for the better. It shows that they DO know what they are doing, despite clear...
