If they are not playing, that is in itself already a significant problem. There are plenty of reasons why Infinite has so far failed to meet expectations, which is a shame because in general the single player while not mindblowing was still quite good, they definitely had a good base to build upon.
And for MP, in terms of the feel and gunplay, it is definitely the strongest they have produced and again, a pretty great base to build upon.
But… they have failed horri...
Given the numbers that have been leaked compared to the 3000 series + the big jump with Ryzen 7000 series too, I honestly would not be surprised if its bigger.
In the end it mostly goes towards better RT and significantly higher FPS, but still though, this next gen for PC is looking pretty great, hopefully there are no significant scalping problems this time
Its the equivalent of password/account sharing (without actually having to share the account) for streaming services. Why wouldnt there be a lot of people in a position to take advantage of it?
Even if its just 2 people that do it it would represent a small discount
But the point of most remakes is to bridge that gap between what people remembered and what it actually was. Since they decided to focus mostly on the visuals, or course all the problems that the original had in terms of gameplay will stick out.
People tend to forget just how much more dynamic the combat became in Uncharted 4/Lost Legacy/LOU2 compared to their earlier titles
Yes mobile is a huge market, and there is also a MASSIVE amount of games, so just because you release something in that market doesnt mean its going to be a hit.
This isnt even an established developer, this will be their first game, so I dont understand where the “huge win” is coming from. Its just another business move, might be really profitable, might not be (just look at how varied Nintendo’s or Square Enix’s success has been in the mobile market).

I’d prefer them not using the same crappy tech that everyone insists on using these days for sticks. While it might be easier to replace in the Edge with the whole slide out part, I doubt it will actually make it cheaper
This list is all over the place, to the point that I dont even understand what your point of comparison even is…
The most “politically” hated game there is LOU2 and even that one wasnt trashed by reviewers (and some of the biggest source of hate was Joel, not something political)
The rest of your list ranges from buggy messes at launch to games with really good critical and user reception like WD2 and Detroit
That will probably be explained in the first few missions. Its not like the guardians had been exploring a lot in the solar system. Before D1 they hadnt even left the planet that much since the collapse
@andy
True, but then its just a matter of supply being higher. If a console is already selling out completely, whatever popular game is released has no impact on the number of sales. It will continue to sell out its capacity whether God of War comes out or not.
That will continue to be true until Supply is able to surpass demand, at that point, yes we can talk about a specific game pushing higher sales
I was not aware that a release of a game also increased the number of PS5s produced haha. The console is already completely sold out, it cannot sell more than what they produce just because X or Y game comes out
How would they climb even more when its already sold out?
New popular games dont suddenly and magically increase the production capabilities for the PS5 haha
The indictment about ps4-ps5 isn’t necessarily about people downloading them (though you would think that if they are getting so many releases its because some people do), but because of the effect it has on the store. In my opinion even before these games you only had to take a look at a sale to see a bunch of shovelware, but not its starting to rise even more and pushing into eshop levels. If they dont start to control it, it could eventually reach Steam levels, and no one wants that
Well, to be fair, that means the matchmaking was separating properly the biggest spenders from the rest of the people haha
@AuraAbjure
Mmmm… what??? The game came out on Dec 2020.. do you think it was developed in just 10 months?
What does the pandemic have to do on a game for which development started between 2015 and 2016?
Honestly, even if they targeted next gen only they still wouldnt have done that. Their PC version is pretty uncompromising in terms of using the full specs possible.
Their issues were more in terms of design, trying to tackle waaaay too many things they had never done before in such a large scale game. They needed to go smaller and more focused and then go all out later in a sequel once they had a working baseline
I recently started playing it and its been mostly fine. Nothing mindblowing but not bad either. I doubt 1 more year of delays would have made it any better than what it currently is.
For me, they got too ambitious. Almost every single thing they were doing was something new for them, setting, shooter, loot, diverse branching paths, city simulation, driving, etc (plus whole redesign of their engine). It was crazy of them to try to approach so many new things in such a large ...
And they also contributed to the death of paid map packs which always fragmented the player base and made matchmaking horrible in the end.
So yeah, while not perfect, they have helped eliminate what I would say were arguably worse practices
Arent these extra planes basically user created content? They are not piecing apart the game, its a storefront for users and partners who create new content and set the pricing
@Stark
40fps literally isnt even in the VRR supported range of the PS5, it has nothing to do with VRR. The milisecond a game drops below 48fps, it stops using VRR
VRR is the OPPOSITE of a locked framerate, and it certainly doesnt work by uncapping a 30fps locked game and running it between 30 and 40fps.
“Which is why it was never a thing on PS5 before the VRR update.”
Ratchet and Clank released its 40fps mode a year a...
Lol at your disagrees, I love Uncharted and LoU, but its not even a subjective thing. They have quite literally only done Uncharted and LoU games for 3 generations (so far). In terms of new ideas, I wouldn’t necessarily make them to be some kind of example. There are plenty of other things in which they are industry leaders and thats perfectly fine
