The thing is, nintendo used to care about the type of content that was on their consoles, which is the argument that they use for not expanding more in the online area. After the wii, i dont see how they could say they still keep some type of control over the quality of whats released on their consoles besides 1st party games
well no game would be impossible, just technically inferior... but anyway i guess the article just means graphically impossible, there i would agree there are a lot of games
a couple of years ago i would have agreed with a Nintendo executive about making sure of the quality of whats released on their consoles... but after the Wii?? with the MASSIVE amount of shovelware??? For them to still use this kind of phrases in response to their slow progress in the past years in the online aspect is just ridiculous...
BTW im not saying the wii has no good games, the opposite, it has really great games, but there is hardly any console with the amount of sho...
well if its in an auto show, and such a short conference i would guess its more info on Mario Kart 7 which is like 2 weeks away. I dont mind more conferences anyway, so far they have announced cool new stuff on the last ones
Maybe a game of the Excite Series for the 3DS?? that would be sweet
Or maybe the boring(and most likely option) some type of partnership with one of the car brands in the show
its absurd to think GTA 5 would look like this on anything but PC. The iCeEnhancer mod is way above what current consoles can do, and GTA 5 is coming this gen. Even then, the chances of seeing this kind of graphics on PC are probably goona be up to modders, because Rockstar isnt know for high quality PC ports anyway
My dual 570's SC Edition and core i7 3.2GHz run Ultra absolutely smooth
well they didnt really made profits in the PS3's first 2 years, so its a risky strategy, however Sony (and MS) have the advantage of being just one part of a much bigger company with bussiness in other areas.
As for the original comment, that kind of mentality (shared by so many people here) is so wrong... just because something is worth its price doesnt mean its not expensive. $250+games+memory card is no small amount of money. Same with the PS3, at the time, Blu Ray pla...
actually people have always complained about microsoft proprietary accesories.... the thing is, why would people still be complaining about something that came out 4-5 years ago??
And more important, why the f*** should i care about what happens on another console if i want to voice my disconfort regarding something made by Sony? Now i can only complain about something i dont like if other people complain about another product?? What kind of mentality is that?
Well i was gonna wait until price lowered anyway so no biggie. Hopefully by the time Vita's price drops, the cards will be more accesible, right now they are WAY too overpriced and if pirates do end up hacking the console, then what would be the excuse for cards 3-4 times more expensive than SD cards???
yeah, it definetely happens a lot, i've never really regreted buying certain things on launch (like 3DS,Wii,etc) but there is almost always a feeling of "i could have waited and save some money"
But i guess anyone who buys things on Day one knows(or should, to avoid whining) that things always get cheaper quickly and better versions come out, you just gotta focus on the good things and upgrade when you feel like its worth
Actually you dont need any type of wide motions for the control to work properly. M+ is more about movement of the elbow and wrist than the shoulder, so whatever movement you do is in a small area in front of you
word of advice, this game is absolutely terrible, dont get it even if its free
as for the disagree, whether we like it or not, motion controls are still gonna be part of the next gen. Move, Kinect and Wiimotes, so developers might as well look at how good a game can be when motion control is done properly. As the article says, maybe if this Zelda (and M+) had been released alonside Wii Sports and show what could be done with good controls, 95% of this generation wouldnt be waggle fest
yeah, not to mention a big part of why it failed was EA's non-existent marketing and the -god knows how high they were- decision of launching the same day as Uncharted 3.
Those guys were probably fired and found a job a Warner Bros, since Lord of the Rings War in the North is releasing the same day as Uncharted 3,lol Thats just begging for the game to fail....
i hope this sets the standard for any game that still decides to use motion controls on the Wii U, the generation of waggle has to die and let the true motion control games take over
@MasterCornholio
When did i say in my post that the PSP is a failure???
i just said that when the PSP came out it dissapointed despite looking much better than the DS. And in the end the DS did much better than the PSP, not that the PSP didnt pick up later in its life, because its doing pretty well right now.
My point is simply that you are assuming that because the Vita is technically superior to the 3DS, that the 3DS doesnt stand a chance, ...
funny how you seem to know how and unreleased handheld will do. You probably dont remember (or just choose to) but this scenario is EXACTLY THE SAME as the DS vs PSP. One more powerful, website editors drooling for it and when they came out PSP dissapointed the 1st years and the DS took off after a slow start.
Im not saying the future will be the same, because unlike you, i dont pretend to know how things will happen
I wouldnt mind going all digital if those cards werent so freaking expensive, also you gotta take into account that retailers like amazon also give credits so its not like they are always full price
Anyway from the survey i saw this:
they are definitely looking into some discounts for going digital.
Game prices are probably going to be open probably 20-$40 for "regular games"
And finally(and sadly) it seems like the biggest games could cost ...
I would have included hyrule but the sunken one from ww, 1st all black and white and then all beautifully colored
well this is hardly real marketing, game reveals usually consist of very little(or no) gameplay video and then the logo. I was actually surprised it showed so much for a reveal trailer.
This game probably doesnt come out until the end of next year. Thats when you are going to see the real marketing
