Adding to all that, remember Xbox 360? It started well with exclusives (mostly due to 3rd party like Bioware and Epic which are now multiplat) but quickly lost momentum and became a timed exclusive machine. 15 exclusives in the first YEAR after it's release is a joke for Sony if you count everything (Kinect/Move/Downloadable titles/etc) in so don't be fooled by that number. After E3, PS4 has probably that much at launch since all Sony studios are working on something.

You realize that those systems are coming out this year, do you? Developers are working on next gen for a couple of years now.

Marketing is all about highlighting the strenghts of a product ...so most of the stuff they didn't mention will be pretty disappointing, especially since even the stuff they did highlight was also disappointing.
This teaser is more exciting than the whole Xbox event was.
You didn't honestly believe that, did you? Of course, after this event one could imply that Microsoft is stupid ...but not even they are stupid enough to produce an always online console in an age, where not everyone has stable internet connections and some regions even having no internet at all.
