i'm happy to see this. probably a lot of these sales came from people who wanted to reach the sales target for the donation so i'm happy to see this coming true.
That equates to 6 million$. I wonder how much did it take to make and market but they still must be losing money/ barely profit.
seems that they believe the target is 7nm zen cpu with roughly 12TF navi gpu. hmm hope that gpu would be enough for a big increase in graphical quality. i kind of hope that next gen will target a checkerboard 4k for most game instead of native in order to save up processing power.
R* could release the game today with no marketing and it will sell like at least 3 million in week 1. In short, R* marketing is fine, although i do expect a trailer later this month or early may, but it won't be gameplay. gameplay would be at like july/august, basically like how GTA V marketing went.
As far as i understand, cory has already written the continuation for GoW after the upcoming game, so what i hope happens is that SSM will split to 2 teams, with one developing the sequel for ps5 to release in 2021/2 with cory advising but will spend most of his time in pre production for the new ip. Cant wait to see what his original vision is

well DF claims that all this is from the first 3 hours (as someone who watched the video this pretty much blows my mind) and that most of the game is still well hidden.
1) well it's sold out on amazon, while being the top seller there, and sales insider says pre orders are massive, above any other sony exclusive.
2) GOW is linear, just with a wide area that can be backtracked. it's not open world if that's what you were implying.
maybe it's so good, even trolls can't say bad things about it haha (TBH there will probably be reviews from people angry at not getting review copies so they'll hammer down the scores). but you know, can we please not have these reviews? the scores so far are fantastic and we are so close to 95 average it's insane, please don't destroy those chances trolls.
yep. you can choose between a nearly locked 1080p 60fps or 2160c 30fps.
i read through the review, i don't get this. the reviewer seemed to like the game to bits with the only issues being some puzzles, backtracking and fast travel and only an 8? by how much he praised the game it looks like a 9 at least.
my guess instead of the obvious one of kratos/ atreus dies, that kratos and atreus on their journey will trigger ragnarok as i think SSM will want to make some kind of a tradition with the series about kratos basically ruining different mythologies in different ways, with the original being just killing all the gods, the second would be triggering ragnarok and thus killing the myth etc. which will all basically lead up to today and we understand why these trilogies don't exist anymore... ...
nah i'm pretty sure all the gods exist at the time the game starts including thor.
it's open world, it looks as good as the best games out there, did anyone really expect 60fps target? it's 30fps with a fantastic implementaion of motion blur that fixes the lack of smoothness. the only loss really is 16.6 additional miliseconds of input lag.
At the beginning of the gen it really felt like we hit the max quality and games wouldn't really improve making more gens useless. However, once sony first party started kicking in with the likes of uncharted 4, horizon and more, i realized my original assumption was wrong, and i believe we will be wrong again and games would still massively improve.
the game is first party, the developers are second party.
MS first party has games that weigh like 150GB iirc are we sure it's the best idea?
