quick summary of the info so you wouldn't need to pay so much:
-Uses AMD's Navi as its base architecture, not specifically using Navi.
-CPU is Zen
-Large amount of devkits have apparently gone out.
-Author suggests 2018 release of PS5 is not out of the question based on the amount of devkits released (2018 release is speculation)
-VR "goodies" baked in at the Silicon level. (Sony not giving up on PSVR any time soon is what I think...
"It's like exclusive OVERDRIVE right now" i really hope the pun in there is intended haha.
going by sony's schedule so far between date reveal and release and the fact they prefer fridays lately for releases i'd bet 6th of July.
day's gone is sadly delayed, but as far as i heard it is actually ahead of schedule and only delayed due to other releases like RDR2 so i expect it to be super polished on release.
https://twitter.com/insomni... release date reveal is tommorow get hyped!
really cool... i kinda rushed through the video to avoid too many spoilers but i'm really hyped for this.
Going by this, ps4 has sold the most on 10/12 months with switch only winning on its launch month and in november and in both these months the ps4 wasnt too far behind. Nice!
2 years from now it'll probably run these games pretty well. remember a few months ago RDR was just instantly crashing. if a ps3 emulator can get to work by a group of random people, then sony can probably make a good ps3 emulator for the ps5.
apples to oranges. interactive enviorment has almost no corrolation with the resolution. it is more about if devs go the extra mile to design the game like that.
yea but i think sony was pretty good with predicting that kind of stuff so far, with both uncharted and horizon having their reviews about a week before release.
zelda was definitely fantastic not gonna lie. it does have a few points which makes it very hard for me to call it GOTG. sure zelda would probably have more goty awards than this but i was talking about myself not the general opinion.
also in defence of TLOU, that game released in the same year as GTA V and both of these had hundreds of goty awards, also this year the R* and Sony huge games will once again battle in the same conditions with Gow vs RDR 2 so it only makes getting more ...
Early reviews = Confidence. This is gonna be game of the generation isn’t it?
For the average consumer, gold has better value. However, i played both the X1 games already, but i don't have the plus games this month so for me plus is better.
Good month! Big games that lots have heard but many didnt play like with deus ex a few months ago. Obviously its not on the same level of last month bloodborne and ratchet (that i owned both so it wasnt a good month for me haha) and they shouldnt expect it to be. At least it seems sony still keeps the good quality of plus games.
an official price drop for 299$ sounds pretty nice. seems vr tech is dropping in price in a nice pace. hopefully one day VR would become common.
Good the game is promoting low budget AAA so i really want it to succeed
it's a good game nobody denying but i believe it's way overhyped. the way the game was so open taken away from the narrative to the point i just didn't care about anything. it felt like a place i had nothing to do with (which is ironic due to how much you can do in it). also, for a game that takes all of the vibe of "you choose your character's personality" because of how free you are, having you use a pre made characters also kind of ruined what they tried to do. no...
MS killed scalebound but let this game live....
double post
i can't give you numbers for either of these because the article itself didn't mention but we already know a zen cpu is leagues ahead of jaguar so that's good news.
the harder to guess is the GPU as we still don't know much about navi, whether it is just a vega refresh or a whole new architecture, but if i had to guess, i believe that it makes sense to be 2x of XBOX so 12 TF of power (and probably also include 16fp for a mild boost above that).
