Great game. Played it again not that long ago.

I haven't even played a CoD game in years and years and years. I'm not going to play this one either.

No.

How many Call of Duty games have there been? What is this, like number 37?

Man, I would go get that looked at. Sounds cancerous.

It's not even possible to have to upgrade every time a new game comes out. That is an outright fabrication. I play NEW games on my computer all the time and I built it almost 3 years ago.

Man, it seems everybody has a crooked agenda on this site.

I would also like to add that literally every first sale purchase made, directly contibutes to his compensation per year. He no doubt makes bonuses on top of his normal set salary.

Meaning, that at the end of a quarter or a years time -which ever they use - when they hit certain revenue milestones, he gets a bonus and they are no doubt very nice bonuses.

Cool. Looking forward to seeing what they have to offer the marketplace, much like I am looking forward to the 3DS.

What's interesting to me is, I didn't even know about Good Old Games before all this... So, I guess even if they lose a few customers from this, they will gain more in the end.

And I love old games.

It seems to me that if the board of directors really thought he was doing more harm than good to their company, they would make him shut up. They must think his mouth is more of a positive, than a negative. Either that, or they can't argue with him much, considering how much Activision has grown since he took over.

I would leave my NES games in the console just so I wouldn't have to 'blow and pray' every time I wanted to play a game.

Wow... Civilization 5 a piece of trash?

I have no words.

It's interesting you say that...

I too think of Valve. I think a lot of people do. It's a kind of paradigm shift.

Why don't they just go back to the shareware model? Bring out a part of the game to try and when find you like it, buy the complete game. It worked for a long time and became very profitable for many developers. It also will cut down on cost and maximize what a developer can make on their game. They could simply utilize services like Steam or the equivalent and cut out publishers entirely.

Games could be $30.00 less expensive for the end consumer.

This is another true gem of gaming from a long and illustrious legacy. Truly, the epitome of strategy gaming.

My guess is that they will sell 3 times the amount they sold originally.

They sold 1 million copies in the first 12 months. That's not bad. It cost them 11 million to make (including the 1 million they put into making the Enhanced Version, which they allowed owners of the original released version to download for free), so they profited from the game and stood by their product.

I think they will do just fine and if anything, they are a model for how...

I used to wear my hair like occasionally when it was long. Man... I miss my long hair. Stupid world and society, expecting me to have short hair so I can maintain employment.

Charmers, you are making a lot of bold statements... I would quit while you are behind.

You have no idea what kind of parent Peter Molyneux is, but you claim he must be horrible. You make an assertion that parents should be stripped of their right to raise their children they way they see fit. This is exactly what is wrong with this modern age and the Statist movement.

I feel that the less power someone like you has in deciding someone else's lifest...

The truth is, Pachter has opinions based on a couple things. The available data, other people's opinions and his ability to disseminate those things and weigh them accordingly based on sound and reasoned thinking.

As many of us have realized, for every person alive, the ability to soundly evaluate information varies.

Hench, in order to have validity in what he does, he needs to be a sharp individual. Sadly, for him, this does not seem to be the cas...

Of course he will. That's all he does. He says stuff and people pay him for the stuff he says... I mean, it's a pretty good racket, if you think about it.

The picture they always use of him makes him look constipated.
