@Dave1351 - Was that a joke or are you just that badly out of the loop?
PC gaming ends tensions in the Koreas.
PC gaming saves boy in well.
PC gaming cures cancer.
PC gaming connects AIDS to ultra black military project.
Console gaming is deemed champion of all time and space.
Can Kinect revive PC gaming?
See all these stupid headlines? They are all completely retarded... except for the AIDS one.
Point made.

I spend A MINIMUM of $10.00 less per game purchased and in many (Most) cases I will buy a game for under $10.00 or buy 10 games in a bundle for $20.00 - That's $2.00 a game for those interested in the complex math involved. When this generations' consoles came out, they were $500.00+ and the games are more expensive, even if you count the reduction in price if you buy them a year after they launch, they tend to be more expensive than the deals you can ge...
I think this is outstanding. I have played all of Frictionals games, except for their last game, Amnesia. They produce some very good indie titles. It's truly great that they are able to make the games they want and that appeal to us. It's great they are experiencing better and better sales via digital distribution - ala Steam. I hope they continue to create great games that I and others want to play.
What's interesting is, companies like Frictional are creatin...
I lied about the Taco Bell.
I'm currenty shitting my pants purely from the excitement... and the Taco Bell.
@Forbidden_Darkness
Odd... I would highly recommend it.
I do not for one second think or believe that this will have much of an impact on gaming or the gaming industry. This is to be expected and all the companies out there realize loss to theft or acts of god every year.
Unless something drastic happens with a shift in what people want to spend their time doing and money on, gaming or interactive entertainment will be here for a long time, or as long as we have the resources and infrastructure to support it.
Didn't the guy who is the director of the game make games in Poland on a PC back in the 90's? He said he didn't even have a computer? How is this possible. Logic failure. Politician-like double-speak engaged. Some producer talking out of his ass.
True that... but, still.
I'm actually looking forward to this game. I really couldn't care less what people think about the series or Peter, for that matter. I'm hoping I'll enjoy it, but maybe it won't. That's the risk we all take when we pick something up for the first time.
It would be nice if it were released in the Summer, when there is usually a lull...or now. How about now.
That's no excuse.
Congratulations.
What she did has nothing to do with games, but it sounds good in a news story.
I mean, it would be like someone saying that the reason she killed her child was because of the stress of a looming resumption of hostilities between North Korea and her country... You know, all the war talk that's been going on between the two countries lately.
Personally, I get sick and tired of hearing how we are all parent's basement-dwelling freaks.
But beside that, you didn't answer my question.
Steam has been a key component to making the Indie game a solid reality. Regardless of how you feel about Valve, prices, piracy, console vs PC, DRM... it just doesn't matter.
All that matters is, everyone has a stake in a service like Steam working for all those involved in the process.
Whether it be Valve-Developers-Consumers.
Now, Steam might not always be around. It might not always be the best option in the future. But, right no...
Please give some kind of example to this assertion. I don't know any primarily PC gamers that this applies to at all. In fact, none of the shit on that list applies to me and I use my PC as my primary game platform.
I pay my taxes, contibute to society and pay my bills, while having a relationship. That seems like the real world to me.
I'm sorry, I was so busy having fun on my PC, I didn't quite catch your list...
UPDATE: Checked out your list after having a bunch of fun. Your list is poorly constructed and full of half-truths and gorilla dust. I would recommend you sue your school for its inability in preparing you for the rigors of compound sentences and critical thinking.
