Oh no! The game's selling like crazy. They're getting away with it, those damned Naughty Dogs!

Do you ever listen to yourself?

Yup. People forget that. Sony could easily have had this year be dry AF for the PS4 like it's been for the XBO to give the PS5 the greatest launch of all time with GOT, TLOU2, and Dreams all as launch titles.

Sony as a publisher is running on all cylinders and this fact is always shrugged off because everyone wants to talk about next-gen, which is funny cause Microsoft aren't even publishing exclusively for next-gen for atleast a year or two. Let's see what MS a...

@Kados: How're you speaking as if you know how the PS5's cooling system is gonna work? Why would they do that when it's common knowledge that hot air rises and the PS5 has vents all along the top? Are they really the idiots you think they are that they're gonna misunderstand basic physics and completely misuse a giant array of vents?

@Kados:

The PS5 was designed that way for that reason too. They made such a huge emphasis on their cooling system, it would be a PR nightmare if the PS5 is still loud and running hot. They're better off just not mentioning it rather than making it a focal point of the console if that were the case. So maybe it's not the case?

We don't know how the SSD is improving the design of some of these games, but we do know devs are emphasizing more verticality into their maps. Spiderman already made great use of many rooftops as you'd often find people hanging out or partying on them, and that was while they were heavily constrained by the PS4's storage system. I'd imagine they're gonna improve this, maybe give life to interiors too, let us be creepers and see into buildings while NPCs are walking about....

It's been like this every generation for every system of all time. Now you weirdos wanna complain about it.

@uRaDecepticon:

Yeah, 1440p 30fps at those insane visual settings that blow every game running at 4K out of the water. We don't know how any other system would handle that same demo, could be better, could be worse. And don't bring up the debunked rumor about a laptop running it.

Aside from the cringey way he types MS, I don't see what spin he's doing. This is literally what they did.

2071d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

Nope. They're conceding this week to the protests. They would've stolen precious mindshare and looked like dicks who couldn't wait to release huge news like this that's bound to break the internet and have everyone talking about it instead.

There's so much more that's possible. Imagine if drawing different letters of the alphabet do different things. That's 26 extra buttons on one touchpad. Imagine if swiping left once does something, swiping left twice does something else, swiping left thrice does something else again, etc. The possibilities are endless and the best part is the touchpad is a blank slate. It's not a hundred different keys or buttons, it's one touchpad.

Sure, the touchpad wo...

I don't look at what came before, I look at what's possible. What's the best way to translate the 100s of keys on a keyboard to a controller? You gonna put a hundred buttons on a controller? Turn it into the ugliest and first full keyboard/controller hybrid? Or put in a single TouchPad that has the possibility of remembering 100s of different gestures.

A patent came out saying Sony's working on having the DS5 remember gestures, which tells me the DS4 couldn&...

Best thing they can do for it, give it as many programmable gestures that a dev could want. There's so many games on PC that wouldn't be able to be translated to console very well without removing a ton of controls. The great thing about the touchpad is, it's a blank slate. People complain that it takes so much real estate, but it can possibly have the functionality of 100s of different key presses on PC and what's crazy is its not the size of 100 keys, it's the size of on...

True, they're also cutting into their possible subscription sales, 3rd party royalties, and hardware sales by doing this. That's not good for Xbox as a whole but atleast they can sell more copies of their games since they haven't exactly been the biggest sellers this gen. It might've been more important to get more 1st party software sales than anything else.

As a PC/PS4 and ex-XBO owner, I won't touch an Xbox console ever again. I'd imagine people o...

Even if it did run on that laptop, which all evidence points to this being a misgake, we haven't seen it running. Can it match the PS5 version's level of assets? We don't know. But we do know the PS5's capable of asset streaming like no other, so we'd have to actually see with our eyeballs the visual differences to see if the PS5's SSD is really the hardware that's making those visuals possible.

@Jukins:

Possible spoilers? That spoils everything bro. Since we're already at it... There's nothing typical about this story. I can't recall one story where the antagonists win and the only ray of hope is the chance that life can start again via a terraforming/life incubating/machine building/library of alexander-esque AI. That's the ultimate pyrrhic victory. It's so fucking dark and depressing which is insane because the game itself isn't. And what...

I doubt Kojima's the only person who can do it. I'd also like a game that's not filled with Kojima-isms. I love the guy and most of his games but he can get a bit full of himself and his games can really suffer from it at times. Though if PT was any indication, Kojima knows when to turn down the typical Kojima-isms when they don't really jive with the tone and atmosphere.

Keiichiro Toyama, the original director of Silent Hill, is also the head of Project Sir...
