The only downside with the PS2 was that it was the weakest out of the 3, but it did the best and had the most support.
The PS4 might be the first console to ever sell the most in its generation and be the most powerful console on the market. They have the most support right now since 20% of devs polled said they'd work on it, it'll only go up from there since the install base is continuing to grow rapidly.
I don't think any console has checked off...
Maybe not overrated but definitely milked. Them utters are dry, son. If it is an AC game, they need to fix the series' problems, namely the combat, the wonky platforming, etc.

The NSA. Lol
@FanboyKilla:
What the hell are you going on about? Lol. This is a discussion about the console's power. It's been proven time and time again that console games continue to look better and better as devs learn how to better work with them.
What will be gameplay king? How the hell should I know? We're talking about console abilities, we'll have to wait to see what everyone does with gameplay. And gameplay's something people tend to judge su...
They don't mean they maxed out what is possible on the console and this will be the best the console has to offer forever. They're just saying they've reached the limit of what is possible with their current tools, coding, SDKs, etc. There will be better looking games, nobody is doubting that, but this should be graphics king for a while. ND will probably take the crown wjth UC4.
They learned their lesson. E3 last year was pretty damn good, no TV, very limited talk about Kinect, all games. No reason why they're gonna take a step back and pull an X1 multimedia reveal type conference for a gaming convention.
@Army_of_Darkness:
You just described entertainment, maybe even mindless entertainment. Something that makes you feel something real can be likened to art.
There's nothing wrong with games being nothing but entertainment, but what's wrong with some being art?
@ManiacMayhem:
"It has already been stated from many devs that they will learn the X1 architecture and more multiplat games will be on parity. The same thing that happened with the PS3."
No, it will not be the same thing as on the PS3. The PS3 was much harder to work on than the 360 but it was able to make much better looking games than the 360 if you optimized it well because it was objectively, more powerful. The Xbox One is harder to work on but ...
@NoLimit:
NeoGAF biased to Sony? Lol. Every site that's not owned or paid by MS is "biased" to Sony. Do you know why this is? Because the PS4 is the more popular platform.
The PS4 has about twice as many sales as the Xbox One and the sales gap is predicted to get much wider. If one console is more popular than the other in sales, doesn't that sort of mean that it's also going to be more popular on the internet?
I mean, i...

I wish the Wii U was more like the DreamCast. That first year (launch for the west) with the DreamCast saw about 5 system sellers and a ton of other great games. The Wii U has 1, maybe 2 system sellers with very few other notable games and it's been over a year since launch.
A shame the DC didn't do better. It didn't start as a bang, it didn't end as a bang, the entire console's life was one big BANG. RIP Sweet Prince.
They're not making it for the Wii U because it's not going to sell enough to warrant even making the Wii U version. If Wii U owners start buying 3rd party games on the Wii U, it'll make 3rd parties want to port their games to the Wii U.
@Eonjay: The install bases for the PS3 and 360 are 16 times that of the Wii U's install base. They'll have to work harder to make the game work on the old systems as opposed to the current-gen systems, especially on the PS3, but atleast they'll make some money off of it.
If they made a Wii U version, it will take time to optimize and it won't make them enough money to warrant making that version, so it's practically a waste of time.
MS taking risks with non-franchises because Sony's too afraid of taking risks? Then explain the PS3's giant list of IPs that started with the PS3 and the 360's 3 main franchises, 2 of which started on the 360.
Do you really think 360 users want to buy a game that needs 7 DVDs as opposed to one BD on the PS3? The game has 5 chapters, people would have to switch discs in between chapters and during the chapters themselves...
They're gonna have to pay EA a couple billion for it then, because that's how much they want this game and its sequels to make. And I'm pretty sure EA still wouldn't sign off on anything like that, they want the COD killer and they want it to be Titanfall.
Yup. There could be a chance that they buy Respawn from EA, but EA is trying to get them COD bucks and I know they're regretting the exclusivity deal right about now since the market went in the complete opposite direction from what they probably predicted.
EA would probably put Respawn up for sale at a couple billion if MS tried to buy them, that's how much they're hoping Titanfall or Titanfall 2 can make anyway.
MS needs to secure real exclusive...
Yup. Sony have 20 studios who they've said are all working on PS4 games but in reality, they're just twiddling their thumbs and they won't have anything to show at E3 because Sony employed them to twiddle their thumbs.
It's a known fact that Kaz has a thumb fetish.
No it doesn't. Text, the map, icons, etc. are all way too small. They should enlarge it just a bit.
They say it's not a credible source and that many people can still find PS4s on shelves in Japan. Well, atleast "SonyGAF's" not "biased to Sony" like many people say, but I'm gonna wait a few weeks for more numbers to come out in case this might be wrong. If this is true, well done Sony.
