I had some concerns about this game given the abuse the Alien license has received recently. But, the more I see the more I like.
Alien: Isolation is looking like an awesome survival horror game IMO.
I get what you mean but it is just an easter egg. I'd be very surprised if she was directly connected to the main plot.
Agreed, I've always liked Squall and Cloud Equally.
Honestly? I think most of the hate for Squall stems from FF VIII not being a direct sequel to FF VII...

If you're a Warriors and Zelda fan you're going to love this game. If you dislike either then probably not so much, and if both then it may be best to give it a miss IMO.

It seems like a lot of people here (or online in general) just come to start trouble or blow off some steam.
As for user bans and bubbles. Yeah the bubble system is kind of broken. We have two kinds of one bubble users IMO.
Those who are either trolls or fanboys, or those who unfortunately don't share the majority opinion and are penalised for it... Good look differentiating the two.

One of the biggest issues I've noticed on N4G, is how incapable so many people seem to be at ignoring blatant trolls and fanboys.

I really doubt "entitlement and fanboyism" has much to do with social justice issues.
The violent death threats and defensive arguments are coming from the vocal minority (As is typically the case) I don't condone such behaviour but then, it's nothing new. People all over the Internet have been threatened with rape and death threats for years, we just know to ignore such hollow threats now.

Yeah, sometimes we forget that many reviewers are just excited gamers who jumped aboard the hype train like ourselves. That's why I never really trust reviews, it's better to rent a game or play a friends copy before making a purchase, IMO.
I agree, gaming would be pretty boring without the excitement and anticipation of a new title. I just think we could all learn to be temper our expectations ;)
People are making it sound like it's a bad thing that we're no longer believing the ridiculous hype that surrounds many games these days.
Hype is more harmful that it is helpful (to consumers at least) It creates unreasonable expectations and often exists for one reason, to sell you something. Look what happened with peter molyneux, he over hyped every game he worked on and now nobody believes a word he says.

One of my favourite survival horror games of all time! I must have finished it 6 or 7 times (Not counting my playtrough of the Wii remake.)
Loved the survival mode and first person view mode the directors cut had.
Nobody cares! Besides, it will be fixed by the time the game is released.
I want to get excited for this, but Capcom has been pumping so much crap out lately that I'm more concerned if true...

Exactly, I can honestly see The Order 1886 bombing pretty hard when it finally hits store shelves.
Scope and art is only part of a game, if it's lacking in other areas of course it will effect the overall score. Take Ryse for example, it had great graphics but poor gameplay and Kinect integration let it down.
If developers honestly don't understand this then they really have no business making games...
Just goes to show what little effect some of these exclusivity deals have when it comes to sales figures.
Not bashing Sony or anything, just saying it's very interesting to seeing how certain deals play out.
