Winning against no competition is nothing to brag about.
Once the PS4 and Xbox One are officially released then we can talk numbers and market share.
Needless to say I'd highly recommend it :)
I might not agree with you exactly, but you make a good point.
Nintendo messed up with the naming of their new console and failed to gain sufficient 3rd party support.
It's not game over for them but they need to make steps in order to fix their image.
You should just do it anyway, I know I'd be interested in checking out one of your blogs.
There are plenty of mature, intelligent users here on N4G, ExtremeAzure, PopRocks359, HonestDragon, coolbeans and DragonKnight to name a few.
And don't let the bubble limit get you down, people will discuss your blog with one another anyway so you don't need to join in unless you want to correct or add something to the conversation.
I hope to see more submissions from you this coming month coolbeans, but for now I'll just be thankful for not having to compete with you O.O
Wow! I won. Thanks a lot Cat and cgoodno, glad you guys liked my blog :D
Congratulations to everyone else who won, and here's a shout out to all those who contribute to N4G.
Thanks you!
Without a doubt realistic games are fun too, but it just seems likes games based largely in fantasy have fallen out of favour in recent years.
Like I said in my blog, if you look at the more popular and up and coming games (especially in regards to games from triple-A devs) you'll see many more games based lately in realty rather than fantasy.
Exactly, since we can't really experience a post apocalyptic world, videogames have allowed us to become immersed in a fantasy version of one.
Which is great, but this setting is still very much bound to the rules of "reality" mostly because a post apocalyptic world is obviously a better experience when it is more believable.
If you ask me, this sudden new found "appreciation" for the technical side of console gaming is nothing but a dick measuring contest.
Let's face it, if a console is superior in anyway in comparison to its competition what's the first thing we see? a load of gloating and rubbing it in, and why is that? because for whatever reason some people seem to think that they are an extension of whatever they are a fan of. For example, Sony has better exclusives than Mi...
Your comment might have more weight behind it if your account weren't only created moments ago...
See, this is another issue here on N4G, users creating multiple accounts in order to go about spreading their personal opinions and faulty ideals, making it seem as if many others share them.
Really surprised how much controversy came about because of something so low brow and lame as "Dickwolves" I mean I get the joke and all but it's not my kind of humour, that doesn't mean other people can't enjoy it though.
Cause like you say, it's joke, just that, nothing more...
I'll say this, it's gotten incredibly difficult to differentiate between those who have genuine concerns, and honestly want to do real good by trying to change gaming culture for the better, from those who have a personal agenda and/or want to enforce their ideals on others regardless of whether or not there is any real harm being done to begin with.
And another thing, telling rape jokes isn't the same as condoning rape, same goes for racist jokes, not condoning r...
The original Xbox One policies still sucked and were detrimental to the current industry if they were to have become the industry norm.
If however we all got the wrong idea about what MS were actually proposing, then they should have better explained their intentions instead of back peddling in order to end up being as appealing as their direct competition.
Indeed.
Whoever it was at Sega better learn from this mistake, just imagine the if this happened after release.
Good look everyone! looking forward to checking out this months blog and review contributions.
Oh, I wonder who will take 1st place ;D
Still not worth it.
Looks pretty good, a console port would be nice.
@ cyguration
You make a valid point but it's about more than just the numbers, if it wasn't then Nintendo would be a lot more popular and well respected amongst gamers right now.
Nintendo were successful with the Wii because they developed a console they could profit well off of and had a fantastic new gimmick, motion sensor gaming made doable with the Wii-mote & nunchuk, they also gained a completely new demographic (the casual crowd) as well as ...
