Crash Bandicoot and Spyro might have been "kids games" but they were enjoyable for all ages.
I do get what Sony are saying but a good game will offer appeal beyond it's intended age group, where as a poor game will just please those who don't know any better (aka kids).
No hate intended, just giving my two cents.
The thing is, you're very rarely going to get a big budget video game release for an anime now a' days, it's far cheaper and way more profitable for the developers to make hand held versions and rake in all of the moneys.
What a lot of people need to realise is, many video game reviewing websites have a set criteria when it comes to their review scores, obviously they allow reviewers some wiggle room but you'll still be required to follow the guidelines.
An 8 might be a fantastic game but so could a 7 or even a 6, they just might have smaller "niche" appeal, or have something holding them back from greatness.
Honestly, if you're buying games based solely on t...
That's DOA for ya, best to just avoid it if you dislike it. The actual fight mechanics are still pretty solid though, IMO.
I wasn't impressed with what was shown of the "deja vu mission" the other day, but if there's more to it I'll happily hold my judgement for now.
Play nice now Misaka ;)
That certainly plays into it, but there are many more variables to consider.
One thing I think a lot of people need to realise is, these video game journalists pull this kind of crap because it works. If gamers would just wise up and learn to ignore flame bait articles and blatant attempts to cause controversy through misinformation, then it will naturally stop.
To be fair, there's more than enough generic crap floating around to justify this franchise remaining.
Dynasty Warriors 8 is a pretty good step forward and actually did enough to bring me back to the series.
Thanks glad you enjoyed the read.
Well it's all thanks to N4G and everyone enjoys who reading my blogs, without you guys I might never I realised my passion for righting about video games.
I haven't played the sequel games yet on the count of my PS3 being dead, but I loved Atelier Rorona and can't way to get my hands on the rest.
Nintendo really need to rethink their policies in regards to take downs.
Sure they have every right to look out for their copyright, but the way they're going about it is alienating their customers.
I dislike the idea that we're no longer "owners" of the games we purchase but merely "licensing the rights" It has been like this for a while now but it's amazing how many people aren't aware.
None of that ever happened to me in Akiba O.o
There is so much "wrong" here I don't know where you're start...
As if I needed more reasons to get this game :)
A lot of those old "Yokai" legends are pretty interesting (and funny) it's well worth checking out a book called "Yokai Attack!" if anyone's interested. That or check out this Yokai wiki page http://en.wikipedia.org/wik...
Resident Evil and Final Fantasy may as well be dead, but MGS is still a solid franchise that's milking hasn't become a real problem yet.
Atelier Rorona is a fantastic game that I highly recommend.
I would score it higher but like any gaming website, gamesreveiws.com have a scoring system in place and honestly didn't think Atelier Rorona met the criteria for a higher score.
I get depressed just thinking about all the potential new numbered FF games there could have been, if not for Squenix milking FF-13 :/
