The amount of times I've read PC game reviews that can't be done due to Live screwing up isn't funny and is a real shame.
The last one for me was stormrise, The review said the intro screen looks great but as soon as you do anything Live has a whinge and needs to update over and over and then crashes which crashes the game with it.
PC Games really need to drop live big time.
A PS3 doesn't cost $699 standard and I've seen thenm for $650 in bundles etc.
As for MS they didn't offer a 3 tear warrenty (which doesn't exist anymore now) they only did it because so many 360's were being handed in after the 12 month warranty that they had to do something which was the 3 year warranty.
It wasn't something they planned to do or wanted to do.

Well TrueHD TV have only gone to 100Hrz/200Hrz in the last 6 months alas though the human eye only needs 24 pictures per second to be tricked into thinking it's moving.
Anyway, 1080P@30FPS is much better than 720P@60FPS as 1080P is twice the res of 720P and most 360 games aren't even 720P anyway.

Microsoft want to move to a full rental service for ALL software products this includes Windows/OFfice, and then games made for windows, that would include the 360 as it uses windows.

Your TV is too small, it'll be a 720P which is HD not TrueHD GT5 is made for TrueHD which is 1080P.
42inch Tvs is the smallest TrueHD TV you'll get.
As for VGA beating HDMI... not quite, VGA doesn't have the bandwidth to compete against HDMI and can't carry at 1080P signal for a start.
