Wow, the interface was actually smooth, I'm liking what I see... There was virtually no lag and when the video button was tapped, it left the interface open while still displaying the video on the screen, that's awesome! No more watching something till the very end and waiting until its over before selecting another title. Good stuff!
This is possibly the best remake ever made! The only other remake that comes to mind that was as good as this, is Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes exclusively on GameCube same as this. I was hoping it would've made its way over to the 360/PS3 with the HD collection but, seeing as it was published by Nintendo and developed by Silicon Knights, it never made it's way.
This is how a remake is done! I was blown away at how much detail was added to the GC version a mere 6 years later. I still applaud Capcom for this beautiful, yet horrific remake.
8-10 hour campaign? I never played an AC that only took me 8-10 hours to beat, but then again I get everything so it's more like 20-25 hours for me.
Fans that have both a Vita and PS3 will definitely be getting both versions at launch or sometime in the near future, I really don't see this being a problem. I'm a huge AC fan and am definitely contemplating on purchasing a Vita, specifically for this game!

OMG despite the fact that most didn't know about it, most of the people still said that they're interested and would buy it and some because of their iPad, wow... The casual market will buy anything and I think Nintendo has another hit on their hands once they see it. Imagine, if they're already saying that they're interested in it without seeing it, wait until they actually see it.
The fact is that when they did this survey nearly a year ago, about 5% said that they were going to get a Wii U at launch, and now that number jumped up significantly. Bottom line is that the Wii U has a huge buzz all around the world without Nintendo really advertising it yet. Once the Wii U has stationary units and commercials out, the casual market will be all over it. Look, Mario, Zelda and Metroid are never, I repeat, never going to die! The original Mario is the first game I ever beat back in 1987 and to this day, I have been fortunate enough to see it evolve into something special that even my son can enjoy.

Wow! Much deeper than I expected. I might go slap a reserve on it. SMRPG is still my favorite and I liked the first Paper Mario as well for N64. I really didn't play the other two for Gamecube and Wii, but seeing as this one is as deep as it is, I might give it a go.
You know this is nothing new, the original Xbox still had power that remained dormant till the very end, and the 360 and PS3 will be the same. It takes a lot of dedicated time and resources in taking full advantage of what these consoles can really do. Obviously Nintendo knew this and hung back a generation in order to squeeze every inch of power out of their hardware and it shows.
They make an interesting point about early adopters and people that barely stepped in the game....

I see why the 3DS is doing great, it's actually the first handheld I've ever owned that I use and play with, on a day to day bases. I'm sure that Japan see's more value in it due to all the wonderful Japanese support the 3DS gets. Hopefully we here in the US can also get some of those games localized soon.

Like I previously stated, I wouldn't be surprised if Capcom does a Wii U exclusive RE game similarly to the Gamecube and 3DS. I still think that RE4 was the game changing RE game that did it right! They had action but also had puzzles and paced the lengthy game quite well, while also keeping it fresh and eerie without compromise. Man!
