I really hope that this doesn't start becoming some sort of trend and people start fully reviewing Wii U titles, instead of slapping the previous reviews from different consoles. I actually want to know what the reviewer feels after COMPLETELY playing that specific version!
"It seems a day-one game patch is responsible for this bug, since it didn't appear before the Wii U's online service was on, but the game will patch automatically if your system is online, which may leave you with a broken experience."
"If it weren't for these problems, the Wii U version of Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed would be as good as, if not better than, the other versions."
Sounds more like a problem with the ...
Great review! Of course I would never get rid of my 360 version for this standalone title in the series however, it's still nice when a multi-plat game is available, to those who are only able to have a Wii U, or are graduating from the Wii. Aside from a few blurry textures and occasional hiccups, ME3 is definitely a great start for those who want to play it; being that it was ported by someone other than Bioware, the extra added features and Gamepad designs more than make up for these li...
No, I didn't open it cuz I didn't have my Wii U consoles yet but figured I'd wait to make sure that the game was essentially the same as far as console parity went, not for the actual game itself. Nothing wrong with making sure the game wasn't jacked up right?
Yea man, the social network aspect of the Wii U, Mii-verse and the Wara-Wara plaza, are features that can only be done next-gen on the next PS4 and Xbox. As far as graphics go, well, they're launch titles, not very many launch titles ever push the systems true power. It's definitely something you should keep your eyes open for, but can actually wait til more exclusive games are released. Great system and system potential but if your on the ropes I'd say wait til a few more titles ...
Your absolute correct! It's to the point were it has become nearly impossible in creating a Nintendo Network ID. Hopefully it slows down by tonight... The update did add a significant amount of content worthy of the 5gigs. Mii-verse and the Wara-Wara plaza are freaken amazing!
Wow, sure am glad I waited! Looks identical but will wait till an analysis is up. Load-times are pretty fast and the way play on the Wii U Gamepad makes me wounder if I could ever go back to traditional controls... So far, Ubisoft has done a magnificent job porting this game over to the Wii U.
That's all I was waiting for, now I can comfortably open up my copy of AC:III for the Wii U. Thank you for finally putting up a review for what I think is the best launch title for the Wii U!
The update was well worth it, just got done updating the first Wii U on to the second! This thing is as smooth as butter, I'm quite pleased with the UI and OS. Other than the HEFTY firmware update, the Wii U has been the fastest and friendliest of all my consoles however, my 360-Slim remains the fastest when updating the firmware. All in all I'm more than satisfied with my purchases. Bout to play some AC:III and NSMB U, enjoy everyone!
Don't know who Jim Sterling is but I'm glad you could get a laugh off of believing your own fantasies! Nothing could bring me down from the excitement I'm experiencing tonight not even trolls! Goodnight to you sir!
Yea man, I'll be up in the morning to get all 3 of mine... I excited and happy with everything I've seen so far. Sure I'm a little disappointed with a couple of things, like Nintendo TVii not being available til December, but realistically it's not that big of a deal. I see great things for Nintendo and will be there every step of the moment as a true believer, same goes for any future console that is promising. I'm a gamer, that's what I do!
Enjoy it ...
I trust Gizmodo, they actually know the stuff. Great review!
Glad I waited until this version was released, good stuff!
Great review!
Awesome!
Monster Hunter in 1080p/60fps is a given! I'm also getting it for the the Gamepad, great first and third-party support, and the fact that it's a Nintendo HD console...
Yea, no! I agree with some of those titles but the others are just plane silly... I did pick up AC:III for the Wii U and do plan on checking out or getting
Batman: Arkham City Armored Edition,
Call of Duty: Black Ops II,
Darksiders II,
Nano Assault Neo,
New Super Mario Bros. U,
Trine 2 Director's Cut,
Zombie U,
Bayonetta 2,
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, and
LEGO City Undercover.

... What? He completely changed what he said last time, the numbers keep going up! lol This guy is so full of it, why do I even bother? I'll be picking mine up tomorrow!
There's no doubt in my mind that a lot of developers will bring out shotty ports of current gen titles over to the Wii U at launch, just to jump on the Wii U cash cow. But one thing is certain, developers who actually co-develop or develop, from the ground up on Wii U's hardware, will benefit and outshine these atrocities.
Almost every single console launch, has had games that are ports from either last gen or current gen titles that stink, however every console has ...
Yes, yes, YES!!!! After trying out Netflix and seeing how wonderfully it worked on Wii U, I can't help but wonder how similar services will work on it. I swear it's so freakn FAST! It literally takes a couple of seconds when switching shows or movies and the Gamepad feature is unbelievably great. Wii U's new media options are the best and will definitely replace my 360 when it comes to services like this, if they remain as fast as they are and I'm using DSL til I get my Comcas...
