Very informative, very good article! I know that the Wii U's architecture was brilliantly crafted, balancing power and innovation, while keeping it affordable and entertaining. I have no doubt that a lot of developers will take advantage of all these little tricks and extra power on the Wii U. Great article!

Well it would've happened if Sony didn't want all the CD based royalties. I wish it would've happened, but it didn't and that's why I'm stuck with all 3! Had Sony and Nintendo just agreed on 50/50 split on all CD and cartridge based software, I think that things would've turned out great. Nintendo was too smart to let Sony take all the CD royalties and knew that CD's were eventually the way of the future but damn it would've been a great partnership had it ...

I have tons of demos on my 3DS and have yet to max out my uses. Usually people know if they want the game after the first, or maybe the second time they play a demo. I played Revelations once and knew I wanted it, but played it a couple of more times before deleting it, just for kicks and never came close to maxing out the usage. Who cares! Quite being cheap and pony up the dough is what I say. This will only effect cheap or "frugal" people that don't want to support games. Fort...

Funny, Creative director Alex Hutchinson recently told Games Industry International that the Wii U version is no different than the Xbox 360, PlayStation, or PC iterations.

Look at the dates and you can clearly see that this is new information over what you posted!
Either way I payed $...

At first I felt like the Wii U version was washed out, but once I changed my black levels to high, permanently adjusted the colors and contrast, it looked identical actually, when changing inputs between PS3 and Wii U, I noticed that there were some NPC's missing from the PS3 version. I haven't tried out the 360 version but I'm sure it's nearly identical to the PS3. This is a rushed port and it still looks and runs great! My advise to anyone who owns a Wii U is to adjust there...

You have to set the black settings on your TV to High and the rest is cake!

Well let's see, the w Wii Ujust came out and I'm betting that at least a quarter will be Christmas gifts, but the community is in fact growing by the day. There are so many games, apps, and features out, that people are too busy trying them out or just busy beating the campaigns. Every day I see the numbers growing, for example yesterday on miiverse COD had around 6.5k people, today it's at 10k people, same thing with AC:III. I have people constantly asking me to play MP but I don...

I'm loving it! It took me a little while to get used to when I was playing AC:III but now that I am, I don't ever want to play it without the Gamepad again! Let me explain;

The Wii U plays EXACTLY the way I thought it would! I'm only going to explain the benefit for AC:III as that's the main game I've been playing so far. First off, the Wii U Gamepad... I am able to play AC:III entirely on the Gamepad, without any lag whatsoever! This is especially useful ...

Oh well, I just bought and upgraded to a new PS3 SS yesterday and a bunch of new Sony made games. I plan on upgrading my TV again sometime soon and if one of their TV's catch my eye, I'll get one too! Unless I find a better TV at a better value but I will keep them in mind...

AC:III
Zombie: U
NSMB: U
Nintendo Land (Came with deluxe)
Trine 2
Nano Assault

Possibly Sonic ASR, DarkSiders, and if you don't already got it, Black Ops 2 and Batman ACAE.

Other than those games I'll hold off until Rayman Legends and MH3 Ultimate.

Xbox 360 is the clear winner here (ON CONSOLES), but that's expected as the game was lead designed on it and ported to the rest. It's actually great to see the Wii U version have 0% of t...

This is exactly why the Guinness book of world records gives people a 10 minute break for every 60 minutes of gaming, or the person could save those 10 minutes and build them up and use them all at once for some type of rest,(4hours of rest for every 24 hours). It's crazy how some people think that the body doesn't need rest. God have mercy on his soul...

After seeing the two impressively fast and stylish Netflix and Hulu apps, I was a little eager in trying the YouTube app and see how well it worked, sadly the YouTube app seems to be the weakest of the bunch (at the moment of course). Both Hulu and Netflix have completely stylish and different UI's compared to other consoles, are lighting fast, and have the option view shows and movies, on the Wii U Gamepad at any time, but for some reason YouTube doesn't allow you to view videos on t...

If Nintendo plays their cards right and add some sort of solid achievement/trophy system the way Xbox 360 did, or the way Sony did shortly after releasing the PS3, it could forever be a part of gaming. I could already imagine getting a tough achievement/trophy and posting it up with a comment or quick sketch, and interact with everyone in the community either by gloating or helping someone get that same one. There are so many possibilities with this app and I for one, hope that Nintendo reali...

I don't find it pathetic because, even though it may be a next-gen console, it's still a port of a current gen game, specifically being a straight port too with really no optimization of the GPGPU. If the Wii U is pathetic for this, what's your take on the PC version? Why doesn't the PC version destroy the console version of COD? Simply put, the PC version is a port of a current gen game with bare minimum optimization.

Please, correct me if I'm wrong...

Yea, "Miiverse" has some great potential, it's essentially Facebook for gamers and it's cool because every game/app has its own community and little Mii's surrounding them talking about it. Yesterday I saw a little Mii's drawing of Heisenberg (breaking bad), and Jesse asking him if he wants to cook, and everyone watching Netflix started chatting about the show; another example is how the Wii U takes a picture of where you were last and post it on Miiverse, which is c...

Not bad for a launch PORT but will wait until eurogamer does a full analysis. Either way it goes the game is mostly the same, only differences are some face textures and shadows, which isn't bad for a launch port. My real concern is the amount of players actually playing on the Wii U, which should grow as the days, weeks and months, go on!
