NMS was one of the most refunded game ever on Steam and even Sony allowed digital refunds, which it rarely does.
So it certainly did piss off a lot of people.
I really think it is more simple. If you're buying game pass, you're probably a big time gamer. That's why you're buying a lot of games.
Why would anyone buy the game that they are "demoing" when it really isn't a demo. It is the full game. It would be stupid to buy it. Maybe the Dlc or maybe after you unsubscribe or if the game leaves Game pass. But not while it is still free.
To all you whining about being announced too early... just what is your argument against that other than you're impatient or entitled?
I very much prefer knowing what games are coming out in the future. It especially matters when potentially choosing a console if you're undecided.
It very much matters to investors as well.
This hasn't passed final approval FYI.
Whether this game will turn out great and this is just Kojima being Kojima... the gameplay we were shown is honestly just stupid. If we were shown this gameplay and it game from some unknown dev.... we'd be like... what the hell was that?
If he is toying with us, what is the purpose?
I think the reason they're being so secretive is because they're still not sure it will make it to current gen. Even when the dev tried to clarify in the last day or so his words were:
"I've heard a number of people say that [it's a next-gen game]. The current console generation is what we're aiming for. We are aiming for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and of course PC as well."
Aiming for isn't a guarantee of anything.
This may be the game that gets them to change their mind. The continued backlash is going to outweigh their market hold and desire to keep players on Playstation.
Stupid explanation. I'll still buy.
Got proof to back that up?
Best exclusives? Sony hands down.
Best newly revealed? Microsoft since Sony/Nintendo didn't reveal anything.
Doubtful Sony makes the same mistake next year after the negativity they received on this one. Plus if the PS5 is announced, that is a guaranteed victory (unless MS has hardware too).
This was probably the worst E3 ever in regards to exclusives being announced for consoles. Sony had nothing. Nintendo had nothing. Microsoft had the usual suspects sequels.
Myself, as someone who doesn't attend, judge these conferences on new reveals. So, Microsoft won easily on this.
And just think about what you are saying. if it is an account maintained by Epic/Fortnite, how in the world are they blaming Sony?
No offense, but this sounds like a bunch of hogwash from Epic. How is Sony responsible for Epic's own accounts?
I thought the estimates were already at 76 million by the end of January from Sony's numbers themselves?
I didn't have a problem with it, but they obviously made it a point to show off by showcasing it as Sony's E3 showcase starter.
Stop saying they told us what the format would be as an excuse. They did debut new games, and had some surprises, so that goes against what they said.
Many of us are disappointed they showed no new exclusives.
Don't care if we were warned. I and others expect surprises at E3.
Lack of new games, boooo.
@UltraNova
It isn't a problem for Sony now because they were already dominating before this started to become a big discussion. But it doesn't look good for them. If Microsoft happens to announce a new me new exclusives for the next console, people could change their minds. Online gaming is growing and is much bigger than last gen. I still think Fortnite may cause Sony to change their policy.
