But your point about Origins is exactly my point. This game is no different than Origins when it comes to grind. So, people shouldn't make up bullcrap saying they purposefully made Odyssey a grind to make you buy this addon. That is a lie.
Witcher 3, arguably the best game of this generation. You have to grind to unlock all your skills. That is a fact.

Where are you getting this "they made leveling slower"? Assassin's Creed Origins required you to do a ton of side missions to unlock everything faster. You wouldn't come close to unlocking all the trees just doing the campaign.

This game is getting rave reviews and those reviews don't mention some terrible grind or the need to buy this. Now all of a sudden you guys find out about it and the game is some disgusting thing.

I've never bought a single microtransaction or "time-saver", so you're wrong. I'm just not someone who is going to cry about something completely optional that has ZERO effect on me. If some idiots wants to pay $10 to hit the level cap sooner, go for it. As long as the game was intentionally made a grind, it is no big deal.
Here comes the cry babies. This is completely optional. 15 hours of campaign play with unlock everything. If you're too lazy or time-constrained to do that, you can buy this optional thing. It doesn't harm anyone else. Stop crying about it.
All Microsoft has done doesn't mean anything if they can't create new exclusive good IP. Buying studios doesn't guarantee that and Microsoft doesn't have a good track record in that department.

It is my understanding that earlier this year, X1 sales fell behind 360 sales (launches aligned).
You never had to grind in Origins. Optional side content is not grinding, especially if you don't need to do it in order to finish the game. You don't need to be max level to beat the game. So don't complain about doing optional unnecessary things.
Ya Microsoft said NO to cross play last gen and tried to pull some other crap to start this gen. How did those hundreds of billions work out for that? They got clobbered.
Sony on the other hand, smart enough to realize that even though they easily won this gen... they weren't going to end on anything negative like the lack of cross play.

Very few people have argued that lack of cross play is a good thing. Mostly just big fan boys. However, a large amount of people were saying that cross play isn't necessary. That is quite different thing.
