Because then it would be digital and no disc required. Some people buy physical to resell.
Only new thing Gamepass has is first party exclusives. Other games are old. PSNow has more downloadble games in total and way more games when you include streaming.
There's no way MS keeps Gamepass at $10 in the future. They can't give away games from almost 20 studios for that price.

1. To get over the mistake they made by going with Cell for PS3, they had no choice but to drop PS3 BC. Unfortunate, but they had to.
2. Sony never took croosplay away. They have always been one of the biggest supporters of it. They have had more cross play support than Microsoft or Nintendo ever had. Yes, they never worked with Microsoft and that was Microsoft's fault last gen. Sony finally came in board.

No, not really. They were making $50 profit when it came out. If they put $150 (lose profit and sell for 100 more) more worth of components in the system it could match X1 easily at a $400 price. They could have taken a small loss if needed, which is common for consoles.
Then they should have beefed it up and sold it for $400 and then it could make at least as strong as base PS4 and X1.
I'm not so sure they couldn't have done that for $300, but Nintendo is greedy and expects top dollar.

What a lo if you non-Blizzard fans may not know is how Blizzard constantly talks about their insanely high quality of standard. How they won't release something that isn't the golden standard in their eyes.
So that is what their fans expect from them. Not some mobile game that wasn't even developed by them.

My point was all these companies made deals with Microsoft for exclusivity and they all failed spectacularly.
