The stability of the servers and glitches was more of an issue to me. Probably about half of my expeditions just exited out for no reason. I had a couple UI glitches were I was permanently stuck in the "super" UI.

You need console sales to get subscribers. Does your brain work? No one is buying Gold membership without a Microsoft console.
Microsoft doesn't release "Gold membership" counts, so congrats on just making stuff up or being confused. Their Live counts are both free and paid accounts.
There is no way there are more Gold members than Plus members. There are are almost as many Plus members as there are X1 owners.

There are no guarantees with MS in charge. They've never done anything amazing with studios or IPs they've purchased. They even tarnished Halo with a terrible remaster and a terrible Halo 5.
No one said it isn't selling well. But Nintendo estimated 20 million and then they changed it to 17. That is a big concern for investors.

I really think all 3 points made in this article really don't amount to much.
To me WiiU was a failure because the price didn't match the hardware. They wasted so much on the pad part. But I think it probably helped them create the Switch in the long run, so it wasn't a complete waste.
And it will be free in a couple weeks. Nothing to cry about.
