Install base is much higher later in the Gen, this is not unexpected. Most people don't have GP.

You're going tting hate because... what's your point? The console is 6 years old now. No single game is going to impact console sales at this point.

This game that doesn't come out for another 6 months is already a mess? Because some people don't like the character looks? Because it is a GAAS that will be constantly adding things as time passes on? Because the game releases 6 months prior to next gen?
Those are some pretty terrible reasons to call a game a "mess".
Dark Souls boss fights are heart-pounding action with extreme difficulty, some of the hardest of modern day. I don't have to play Death Stranding to know that it isn't anything like that.
So all the reviews that were released the day of the embargo... are you saying they read other reviews? Yet, you who released your review 10 days after the embargo date... you never read anything?
Falling and dropping your packages is the same feeling when you're fighing a Dark Souls boss? Come on now.
You can say the 10s played it for maybe part of a day... you think that is enough to review a game? No it isn't. If a legit review site did that they would be shamed. On top of that to give it a 10? Even worse.
All the way he reviews of this game, even the good reviews... say the game starts out slow and gets better. Makes it even harder to respect a review that scores it so high after a part of a day.
I don't think devs want to have to create so many variations of games.
Right now they have to deal with 5 (PS4, Pro, X1, X1X, Switch).
Beginning of next Gen will take that up to 7. Is it worth it to make that 9 (with a PS5 Pro and Scarlett Pro or whatever).
I don't think that is needed. It would start to become too much. Could also confuse casual consumers.

Where was it reported that Game pass has almost 10 million? They gave Game pass away for pennies and took a huge loss on it so far. Sony had no reason to do that.

When a leader of his company changes his mind about something (such as BC as you mentioned)... that isn't hypocrisy. That is them recognizing maybe they were wrong about the market and making changes to accommodate. How you are acting as if that is a bad thing is mind-boggling. There was never a release date or estimated time frame even, so there couldn't have been a delay. Doesn't matter what anyone from NetEase may have said earlier this year either.
It isn't that simple. Yes, there was outrage by people. But there was multitudes more people who weren't outraged.
The only ones who are hypocrits would be those who called for a boycott, but will still buy it.
