It is illegal to list a "false" original price and act like you are giving a discount.
Let's say games are 60 retail.
This week you offer 20% off all games.
Next week you offer B1G1 free. Are you telling it is illegal to put the games back at the original price? No, it isn't. That is what Sony is doing here.
Replacing one sale with another isn't illegal.
It is an offer and it is cheaper overall. Math isn't hard.
Once again whiney gamers with big mouths. This is pretty standard practice when a B1G1 free sale occurs (everything goes to retail price) .
So the complaint is that games were 35 or 40 are now up to 50?
So that means before the sale 2 games would cost you 70-80. With the sale 2 games now cost 50.
So you're saving 20-30 overall. What are you complaining about exactly?
@angelic
Demanded? People who come on gaming sites may be a vocal group, but they are a minority. It doesn't mean a game would sell well.
So you have over 175 of those games?
You think most Sony fans have 17t of those games?
Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.
Sony is a business. They aren't a charity for gamers. This is a great opportunity for people who never played these games. So, yes it is for the gamers and yes they are making money from it.
Morons in here calling it thievery. They forced you at gunpoint into buying it or something?
You realize a lot of PS4 owners never owned a PS2?
You realize most people who did own a PS2 don't have their PS2 games anymore?
Sony owes us nothing.
Kind of funny that EA, one of the worst game companies, were the ones to say this.
What's your point Crimzon? You don't get early access to EVERY BETA.
Many (probably most) betas are invite only, so what in the world are you talking about?
OMG you won't be able to play the game in 15 years? Oh no!
I guess you disconnect your system from wifi all the time right because they are watching you!
Is the bubble system broke or what is going on?
That's a different story and that's why I have no interest in this game or Battlefront of Titanfall.
But I don't see the big deal about always online myself. I understand if you actually have no internet, but everyone complaining here isn't in that group.
Not my kind of game, but the funny thing is everyone here complaining probably has their system connected to the internet anyway.
None of you were going to buy the game for the limited offline modes.
The guy wasn't actually defending the sales at all.
Save the comeback talk for win the win at least 1 month WORLDWIDE.
The games are all 19.99 and under. So, on top of your pointless complaint....you're wrong.
Depends what game you want. Many games can easily be had for less than $50.
Ya what a click bait title. Original author puts a small blip at the bottom of his article "Edit: This article previously stated that Eric Monacelli is community strategist at Naughty Dog. He has since moved to Infinity Ward as director of communications."
But they still haven't corrected the title or the part about Naughty Dog.
What's your point?
Some common facts:
1) Physical is nearly always cheaper than digital.
2) Stores have different prices.
