Sorry, but there is absolutely defending microtransactions. I love cosmetic type microtransactions and I've never ever purchased one. Microtransactions keep down the regular price at $60 for games. That's the reason why $60 has been the normal price for several generations now.
If microtransactions disappeared, they would make up their money elsewhere which would probably be a $70 standard price or more.

If you're a PC gamer? Sorry but now that all MS games will be on PC, there's no reason for a PC gamer to get an X1.
First Party games? Compared to Sony... not even a competition.
Live is the gold standard? Indisputably better my ass. It isn't more stable. Sony was hacked once years ago, no excuse for that... but that was then and this is now.

If you do a simple google search, you will find many people complaining about this in past years. If you contact Chat support too much, they will block you and tell you to call.
