The image itself is perfectly fine.
I don't like the font they've used for the (too small) title though, but hey, others will.
'Average annual salary' is very misleading of course. This makes it seem everyone is doing very nicely over at Nintendo, and gets paid a fair share, but when 1 guy makes 1 million a year, and 9 others make 10,000 a year, the average might seem nice, but obviously the bottom 9 would be suffering.
Not saying that's happening at Nintendo. Just saying numbers like these can be misinterpreted.
It's never been 'OVERLY sexualized'.
It's slightly sexualized, but it seems (mostly) Americans tend to have a serious problem with healthy sexy bodies, (semi-) nudity, and occasionally sex in their entertainment.
To be honest, I'm just happy to finally see a proper Pokemon adventure arriving on a Nintendo Home console (well, hybrid, but still...), so I'm actually quite positive about this.
... so you're saying you never actually played the game... !?
Except this time it seems to be the other way around: They released Titanfall 2 around the same time as their own Battlefield 1, and of course the new CoD, and while getting great reviews, Titanfall didn't stand a chance in sales.
Now, their big name release was Anthem, built up for years, while Apex kinda came out of nowhere, from the makers of Titanfall btw, I believe, and Apex seems to be getting all the positive attention it deserves, while Anthem seems lost & l...
I always preferred Super Mario World far more. Yoshi just didn't appeal to me in the same way, visually, and gameplay-wise.
Not sure how some people can scoff at being able to play and enjoy your old library of games on your new system.
Lately, I've been playing SSX3 again on XBO X, and it's still an absolute blast.
Why keep a poorly/mediocre reviewed game at 60 bucks? Gamers these days (well, most of them), aren't stupid: They'll take a quick look at scores online, or check with friends, to see if a game is worth picking up or not.
This seems like a throwback to the original game, and while it's not for everyone, I'm sure some fans of the first game (or perhaps even the 2nd game...) might look at this through nostalgia-tinted glasses and deem it worthy of picking up at...
After my poor experience with Just Cause 3 (PS+), which kicked me out of the single-player campaign because it couldn't connect to the server or whatever, I kinda dropped that game, and lost interest in the franchise.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the gameplay of Just Cause 3, but when developers go out of their way to implement a component (and implementing it poorly) which results in me staring at a locked screen for minutes while it's trying to reconnect to s...
I rather would have seen an (unofficial) 'sequel' to Black Flag. Didn't care much about the sea battles, but loved going over the map,.experiencing that freedom, finding new islands, and basically being a pirate.
This game just focusses on that sea warfare, and to me that just isn't very interesting. Not gameplay-wise, and probably not story-wise.
Smash Bros does have a Season Pass (Fighters Pass) though. It's 25 bucks orso, and contains 5 new characters.
Still waiting on my copy from N4G.com btw... (December contest).
As expected, the DLC greed will once again be huge with this game...
Agree with Tyler Durden 99%, but that 1% comes from the (self-) censorship Sony is now forcing upon developers when it comes games with 'lewd' material.
Extreme gore and violence are obviously still perfectly fine, as far as Sony is concerned, but nudity and/or sex in a game aimed at adult customers is now a huge no-no...
Well, that seems like a good way to immediately sour their relationship with their new Dragon Quest fans in the West...
Bought Hollow Knight a month orso ago and instantly fell in love with it. Haven't played it much yet, cause work, art, and backlog, and really want to sit down for it and enjoy it fully, but excited it's getting a sequel.
Nintendo's strength, to me as a consumer and gamer, is in their software. Their hardware is actually their biggest drawback, to me, and I feel it holds these amazing games back.
If they'd still want to introduce different ways of playing, they could bundle such software with appropriate hardware, like what Guitar Hero or Rock Band does.
So say, Nintendo wouldn't have a system, but they'd like to release ARMS on the Xbox or PS4, they could...
We need to get rid of this backward conservative mindset that somehow 'sexiness' is something 'bad' or to be ashamed of...
- I'd like to see a gorgeous party brawler in the form of Power Stone.
- They should outsource Street Fighter Alpha to Arc Systems.
- They should make a modern-day scrolling beat 'm up, combining the 'traditions (mostly) left-to-right gameplay, but mixed with current updates, like combo's, environment interaction (think Mad World, Yakuza), character-creation, etc etc. I feel that's a genre that really holds so much potential in all areas to be improved up...
I'd love Japan, but we're already seeing quite a few games coming out which are set in that location (Sekiro, Nioh 2, Ghost of Tsushima, etc etc), so it might get lost in the crowd a bit, although personally I'd absolutely pick it up.
My vote went to China, although I'd set it in a more recent period than the article, namely during the Opium Wars, where West met East, so you'd have the different cultures clashing, the balance between trade and the public ...
