It's an opinion piece, so it would be his opinion. While both articles have opinions presented in a "matter of fact" way, they aren't completely off the mark.

The number one reason to go with either the PS3 or Xbox 360 is the exclusive titles, and that really boils down to a matter of taste....

Microsoft is going to have to bring the thunder in order for me to throw money at their console. Otherwise, knowing I have to be a Gold member to play online or...well, do anything, makes that the last console of choice. Between the Vita, Wii U and PS4/Orbis...I think I'll be good.

Have to disagree. I have 45 PSN games (excluding PS+ and full PS3 games). That has nothing to do with Microsoft or XBLA.
Their growth is a result of XBLA. That, in no way, means no one can rival MS. PSN (on the console side, Wii U eShop doesn't have enough releases to compare) has some stellar exclusive games and, well, the same games as XBLA. Bastion, Dust: An Elysian Tail, Mark of the Ninja, Minecraft, Trials and Deadlight are examples of quality exclusive XBLA games, but they aren't the end all be all. Everyone has an ecosystem that has something for everyone.
Focus on whatever the hell it is you're trying to make and don't worry about what Nintendoes. Do you even play the games you make?

That's great and all, but when I talk games, I don't stroke specs. I stroke games, experiences and immersion. The damn thing could have a hamster running on the wheel of death to produce the visuals...if it's as fun as ZombiU, I'm down.
