The Mario Bros. Mafioso one is tight. I wanna play a game with a Bowser that looks like that.
Past 5yrs is a ridiculous stretch. 2yrs, maybe even 3. I won't be shocked if their reveal is similar to their E3s. A few exclusives, tons multiplatform games, and then Nike and Pizza Ordering.
I don't think anyone has low expectations for the next Xbox. It will be interesting to see how much of their focus is on things other than gaming.
I never thought I would see...not 1, not 2, but 3 people whose opinion I couldn't care less about. And they get paid to make those videos. SMH
As the Wii proved (to some extent), power isn't everything. As long as the games are fun and engaging, that's what matters. The problem is...most of the Wii U games out currently aren't fun and there's only around 5 or 6 that are worth playing (most of which are ports). I'd prefer for Iwata to clear up misunderstandings regarding their 3rd party support. I thought they had substantial titles and 3rd party support for the Wii U, but that doesn't appear to be the case. I...
Price is a barrier. When its price drops, its sales will increase (as with anything). Unfortunately, we're in for YEARS of doom and gloom stories.
I really think online gaming will remain free, but they'll off things like streaming, etc. for a subscription.
It's not a defense. It's a reality. If you think either company is sitting biting their nails over what the other is doing, you're either : a child or a fanboy whose personified Microsoft and Sony.
EDIT: I saw a comment that holds true from both sides of the fence...and responded (without saying "Sony doesn't care").
"See something you don't like, react in a way that makes you feel better about the situation."
...
As the Xbox reveal will have no impact on Sony.
I really hate the "$4 a month" bullshit. Is it billed $4 a month? Why is a month by month subscription $15? XBL is the perfect reason to NOT game on Xbox. I'm not going to get frisked for my wallet every time I press power.
I am disappointed and kinda angry at myself for getting a Wii U. After the newness wore off, I was left (and to this day) with a Mario Bros U and ZombiU playing Netflix/Amazon streamer. That's slow. Like the PS3 says to the Wii U "You need to speed things up!". That's a damn shame. Hell, I made a Vine about it - https://t.co/8a5r2uaqYf
Xbox Infinity - Infinite Entertainment. Endless Possibilities. Because that's not bad enough.
"Nintendo says that Wii U momentum is already lost and now wants to release software continuously."
Better hurry up!
I've watched enough CSI to make your death look like a squirrel slit your throat with a sock.
Nope.
I taped a Last of Us screenshot to the back of my wife's head last night. THAT'S how much I want this game.
A game doesn't have to have zombies or monsters or alternate demon realms to strictly be considered survival horror. Thing is, we don't get that nowadays. It's either zombies or monsters, too much action, co-op or all of the above. TLoU looks to be a genuine survival horror in that, by default, you're surviving both people and infected. Post apocalyptic has no bearing what so ever on the genre. It's the setting. Just my two cents.
What's ambiguous about anything I described?
It's what you consider to be horror. A world incased in either military "safe" zones or infected, split headed monsters, all the while not being able to trust a damn soul...that seems like survival horror to me.
"This could really be massive for Microsoft, even if the company doesn't need another sci-fi fist-person shooter."
This makes no sense to me. Could be massive, but they don't need the game? Any new console needs as many worthwhile games as possible.
I just don't see this happening. First, the publisher...EA. Notice the studio closures? They're not leaving money on the table. Even being exclusive, they wouldn't make anywhere near ...
