So jaded.

Yup, like when time warner was trying to buy hulu just to kill their "watch the latest episode the day after it airs" set up.

This isn't 2006 anymore. streaming has picked way up.

4K blurays? every ps4 and X1 out there can do regular blu rays. Your copy of captain America will work just fine.

Not just a regular Blu ray, but a 4K bluray. apparently TONS of people have a grand 4k blu ray collection.

How many of those PC's are VR capable?
the most successful console ever was on a closed platform. the top games sell better on a closed platform, ubisoft just said so yet again.
The PS1 couldn't play movies, had no online multiplayer, no streaming, nothing. compare that to what the PS4 is capable of. PSVR is not a one and done device, it will probably have more to offer within it's first generation, much like the PS4 of today can do a lot more than the PS4 a...

Now that makes sense. you had me scratching my head there for a second.

Sadly no, now a days beta tests are to build hype and act as a demo. No longer meant to test the game, it's a marketing tool.

Nice. gotta admit I never thought of 3rd parts for the elite controller.

Yeah I've bought it twice. Honestly I felt the game was worth more than the original asking price, I had the cash so I figured why not toss a few more bucks CDPR's way. my way of thanking them for giving me one of my favorite games of all time.

@ errorist. probably just some ambiguity from your edit. might be taken as the last statement in the article was BS? I dunno.

If you're in the US, I'd get psvr first. They both cost the same, but my guess is the pro will drop faster. even if not, you'll have access to more games and a new way to play those games right away rather than the same games with better graphics. Of course that's all assuming you already own a vanilla ps4

Edit: for some reason I didn't catch that last bit. Yeah, if the games don't appeal to you I can't recommend it. It'll just be a pa...

shinrock, stay quiet while I handle this. Ahem, nobody gets to speak for shinrock! Also shinrock likes peas. send him peas.

Was the retailer, not Sony.

They're most likely already the market leader of the three big ones. In one week, in one country they sold 50,000. around half of the lifetime sales of the vive at the time. vive was the market leader at that point and that country wasn't even the US or UK where sales are most likely much higher.
Retailers also sold out and had to reorder more stock, like gamestop who underestimated the demand for psvr so didn't order enough from sony. I think you're just a hat...

I disagree. I've seen it time and time again where someone jumps onto an existing franchise and it hooks them so much that they want to go back and play previous entries. Heck, it took me a while to find other exclusives to justify my purchase, but I got a gaming PC mainly to play the first witcher title.
It also entices those of us that have already played previous entries to go back and play them again. Granted that mainly only holds true when you fall in love with the world...

I wouldn't say god of war has depth. That series seems to be tailor made for testosterone filled teens that put the cool bad ass factor above all.
The new one looks ready to fix that though.

I found a copy for like $13 on amazon. at that price, might as well. Unless you have a gargantuan backlog that is. Then it might be worth it to wait and see.

No reason to let the franchise die. it might get much better like assassin's creed did after their first outing and like watch dogs is poised to do.

I usually give launch games a pass. Does anyone expect them to be that good? It's a shock to me when one is.
