The guy just has a chip on his shoulder because he guessed wrong when selling the rights. He just wanted a quick pay day and didn't think the games would amount to anything. Now he sees how much money he could have made and is jaded AF.

There's nothing SJW here Morpheus. you just go looking for that stuff at every opportunity. The ONLY th9ing here is a female lead and you start crying SJW. You got some serious issues dude. Seeing conspiracies that aren't even there. You're in tin foil hat territory.

Yeah I snagged it too. Amazon had it for 24% off. brought it down to $60. Don't know if the deal's still active though.

Batman looks like he got hit with joker gas.
Kratos looks... creepy. Like I'm holding my kids tight tonight creepy.
Heihachi and Marcus nothing really special there. Heihachi just looks like he's enjoying a fight and marcus is too subtle.
Big Boss is the only one that looks genuinely happy to me.
Geralt looks just plain evil. Like cult leader level.
Wesker looks like he belongs on an infomercial
and ethan mars looks to be as hi...

The two aren't mutually exclusive.

Almost makes me think they're adding in all this stuff for new purchases to get some of us that got the season pass version to rebuy.

Couldn't disagree more with exception of Horizon. It's all subjective though, Just for me 10 minutes isn't nearly enough time to get a read on the story.

Can't even have a female lead now? You anti SJWs are getting out of hand.

to be fair, we all knew that was coming. especially from the fanboys. I expect to see a lot of "I didn't care much for VR before, but this? THIS is truly amazing VR." Across the spectrum a fanboy's opinion changes based on what their plastic box can do

1) yes, but that won't matter to the masses. only the hardcore fans cared about that when PS4 had the advantage, and I'm still not convinced any of them were able to tell the difference when X1 upscaled to 1080p and PS4 was doing it natively. Not to mention checkerboard is even more advanced than what the original X1 was doing. So It's more a peace of mind argument.
2) it's basically the same thing as boost mode on the Pro. Scorpio will do it better, but again, ...

It gets better. The last patch helped some with the animations. I still wouldn't suggest anyone buy it without a sale price tag. But for me, at a certain point it finally clicked and feeling like mass effect. 20+ side quests open, 10 plus done, just need to go back to the quest givers and get rewards, knee deep in loyalty missions. Still the weakest entry by far, but no longer a game I regret buying. 3/5 stars for me thus far. Hopefully they tie it up nicely at end game.

memorizing attack patterns and such was the main thing keeping me from getting into the souls games. It was all doable, but memorizing was just never fun for me. To memorize what to d when seems more... robotic to me. As opposed to challenge like say witcher or bound by flame. You're forced to think on your feet and react to constantly changing situations. And a bit of luck being involved I also like. it leads to some "whew" and "Cheap shot!" moments that I love....

Depends. Take a game like heavy rain. the checkpoint system works best. It locks in your choices and eliminates back tracking and for a story like that, I'd say the checkpoint system is essential.

Agreed. I'm glad gaming has grown up with me in that sense. being able to pause or save at the drop of a hat is very much welcome when you've got two young kids. the controller gets dropped either way, but it's nice to be able to just pick right back up whether I'll be away for an hour or not back until the next day.

Gaming was insanely difficult because it based off arcades, which were designed to be difficult so you'd have to keep popping in quarters.
Games can still be difficult today, dark souls, witcher, nioh, etc. But games have grown up quite a bit since then. I'll put the story from games like bioshock and the last of us up against some of my favorite modern books and they punch in the same weight class.
