The colin was right was always tongue in cheek. the guy just has a dry sense of humor and doesn't laugh at his own jokes all the time like the marty sliva's out there. Once he made a show out of it, it wasn't "I told you so", it was him getting back to actual games journalism.
Admitting that you're wrong isn't as easy as you think. They've invested hundreds into their console of choice, not easy to go, "I should gone with PS or PC instead". Try and get a trump supporter to acknowledge that Trump lied, you'll get the same result. Try and tell a patriots fan that they cheat, same thing. Heck, before halo 5 came out I ran into someone on here who honestly believed that it would have an attach rate of 90%. They're just in too deep.
They've done it before. I've always found that a little slimey. Now comes the question, will Sony start showing games running on the Pro and lie by omission that it's running on a PS4 slim? I hope not.
@gansta, no it's not. What Sony did was listening to the fans. Remember they were planning very similar policies, saw the feedback said policies were getting from the x1 reveal, and where X1 doubled down on policies they knew their core audience hated, Sony righted their ship. It was MS's arrogance after 360's NA/UK success that made them think, they'll huff and puff but still buy the system. (seems this arrogance always hits hardest with a company's third console.) So...

Oh I'm with you there. not defending not putting old first and second party titles on there. I was more speaking to the lack of motivation to improve the situation. as much as we complain, subs keep increasing.
I think it will be more scorpio exclusive content as opposed to games. If my guess is right, the canary in the coal mine will be crackdown 3's cloud support only being on Scorpio.

Yes, but last time they were in this spot with a new console launch months away, was the xbox one. And back then they didn't listen to fan concerns at all until they saw preorder numbers, only then did they start making those pro consumer choices. So maybe, but just becau...

While true about Greg, it was, for me, always the dynamic between he and Colin together that made the magic. There've been episodes where one or the other isn't there and it just wasn't the there. The info and opinions were still top notch, but it was missing that je ne sais quoi.
Well, he's said he gets burnt out from time to time. He said it's just he takes a break from gaming and reads a couple books or catches up on movies and tv. then when the bug hits him, he jumps back in.
I think that's the same with pretty much everybody. I know it is with me.
there were a couple episodes ( I think both were of the "prerecorded because we won't be here next week" variety) where both he and Greg did nothing but pretty much tell themselves how great they were. That's about as close to arrogant as I've seen him. the rest just comes off as arrogant, but being a fan for years, I can tell it's not him thinking "I'm better than you."

I own it. and I'm a fan of the series. It was the main reason I bought a 360 before a PS3. I have all the achievements for the original trilogy. and preordered this one without a second thought. And I'll tell anyone that'll listen, if you're interested in this game, wait on a sale. It's not worth full price.
Yeah I just finished clearing a Kett base and a turret respawned while I was back tracking to talk to an NPC closer to the start of the base in order to complete said quest. I initiated the conversation and the turret just hammered away at my back. depleated my shields, took my life bar down to almost nothing, but I don't think it was allowed to kill me mid convo.
It's the way it is though, sex sells, has always sold and will continue to sell.

Just a heads up, Goldby. Gears 4 is native 1080p. It currently upscales to 4k on XB1S. MS has the 4K assets for the PC version of Gears 4 already. Scorpio is more than capable of native 4K on Gears and Forza, being 4.5 times more powerful than XB1. AMD says it takes less than 4x more power to go from 1080p to 4k.
