I'd go for sequel with a port of this for this gen included. and if possible open it up to other platforms, this game was good (especially with that one scene) and I'd hate to see other gamers locked out of experiencing it.. But that's me personally. business wise, the best way would be a remake, maybe even reboot.
It's a JRPG... with party members. How would you have it done?
aesthetically I like skull and bones more. Sea of thieves has you going on land with sword and gun play and that's a huge plus for me in a pirate game. Tone wise prefer skull and bones than the cartoony "shoot yourself out of a cannon" that sea of thieves has. and I could keep going back and forth but where they both become no buys for me is bei9ng multiplayer focused. I know ubisoft said they'd have single player stuff, but when they did that with the division it cam...
@DJ, don't let the disagrees bug you so much man Usually it's just some fanboy BS or someone who can't come up with a counter argument. There is a bias on N4G anyway. I notice anytime I write something defending or praising MS, I get way more downvotes than if it's me praising Sony. So hitting disagree doesn't mean anything to me, it's when they explain why they disagree, then at least I get to hear a different point of view.
When did Kinect release? That could be a nice shot in the arm to 360 sales on their timeline. Also the 360 sold more n the second half of its lifespan than the first if memory serves.
Even though he said he himself had the line added. please.
Apologies for assuming you to be a MS fanboy though. It's just lock step with how they act. eg Woolly who was only too quick to jump on that "reaching" bs.
The producer not only confirmed it but said it was he himself that had Jaime say the line and you still don't want to accept it was a reference? references happen all the time. It's a common practice in film and TV. So no, when it's done on purpose, it's not a reach. I'm guessing you not being able to accept it has a lot more to do with it being a reference to the last of us instead of masterchief.
Not really DJ, the X1 started out with a bang, it was outpacing the 360 by wide margins, even with 360 benefitting from RROD and going unchallenged for a year. The fact that not only could it not maintain that sales advantage, but lost it all to the point where the 360 is now outpacing without those two major advantages being a factor at this stage shows X1 slowing down big time. Maybe all those missing xbox fans are just waiting on "the beast". But well, if you'll allow me t...
I still don't see this point. Even keeping it in the same studio, how is the last of us using uncharted's formula? Because you shoot people in third person? I'm sorry, that's not nearly enough. You can't play the last of us like you do uncharted, you'll just die really quickly the second you run out of ammo which will be fast. Nathan drake doesn't have a character like Ellie by his side, the enemies are wildly different. I wouldn't call anything in the las...
They'll utilize it, and as you said they have a ton of commitments to do just that. It's the word "fully" that makes me think probably not.
I doubt there's enough time left in the gen for that to truly happen. I mean we didn't get anything near the level of the last of us at the start of last gen. It takes time for the devs to learn the ins and outs. And much like that example, I think it'll be a first party studio that produces the best looking, best performing title on the system.
HA!
Honestly I'm glad you asked. I mistakenly read the title as "Reddit: Dev is optimizing..."
RE2 is a classic and one of my favorite games ever, but I found that the horror became less as the game went on and the action picked up. I'd personally replace it with kuon, though I wouldn't call it a classic as far as majority rules go.
@Razzer He's right though. When I play driveclub I can't help but think how similar it is to knack. When I play killzone, it just screams little big planet. and can you believe the blatant thievery of superpower mechanics that the last of us stole from infamous? And gravity rush? total rip off of freedom wars.
@pink, that has more to do with optimization than creating the base game.
Yeah? I'm thinking more a line of hybrid consoles/PCs branded "xbox". Similar to what the alienware alpha and steam machines were doing.
But that's a big part of it, MS has that money, not xbox. For years their shareholders have wanted xbox gone. pumping even more millions into it isn't going to make them happy.
I dunno man. it was a hot summer day last year that caused me to sweat while I was creating a level in Mario maker. I was flipping through notes I made for ideas I had on the level when I got a paper cut which bled. But when it was just about over I looked at my near masterpiece and wept tears of awe.
Ah, now it makes sense. Yeah similar to what's going on with the new fear effect. I can dig it.
