wow, yeah agreed.
I don't think that's the case. The game launched in 2012. Assuming it took the normal 2-3 years to actually make the game, it would have been right around the launch of the series, maybe even before, when ink hit paper for the deal.
The story was great, gameplay was ok at best and the graphics was acceptable. For me it was worth a buy when on sale for $20 or less.
It's ok Moldy, you can still play crackdown 3. No need to get jealous of Sony exclusives. If you're still feeling insecure, just repeat "the beast" over and over.
Yeah, when I really like a game or series I usually end up getting both, physical around launch and digital when a crazy deal like a flash sale comes around.
I've been burned on both, my physical copy of dragon age suffered the wrath of my then 3 year old, and now xcom. which doesn't hurt so bad since 1 it was a PS+ game and 2, amazon has it brand new for like $10. And dragon age, digital saved me since due to a sale I got the base game and all DLC for less than t...
I guess the operative word is similar. So he's probably just shooting for it to be punching in the same weight class and not go for a true 1:1.
Yeah those would be nice. I remember a while back Sony did some kind of bidding thing where you bid your gold and silver trophies for swag or something similar. But still the king of giving you stuff for gaming rewards is steam.
Like the themes for getting the platinum in horizon and bloodborne?
Recently jumped back into enemy unknown. Or at least tried to. they delisted it from psn and xbl. You can only get enemy within or enemy unknown plus on vita. sucks seeing as how I owned it previously and now can't re download it.
@wolly, the Pro didn't have one. but the difference is the pro didn't need one. If MS is trying to push units they need to convince people to buy and one of the most effective way would be having a killer app at launch.
Sony didn't really need to convince anyone to buy the Pro, it's selling just fine by them saying here are some games that will get enhanced by pro. MS doesn't have the momentum Sony does, so I don't think they can get away with that.
@G20 But VR is dead and a total gimmick, well until xbox gets it. then it's the hip new thing
@gumby, I think that talk of it being too expensive is an over simplification. depends on the context. Based purely on the tech you get for that 500, it's a heck of a deal. But when looking at Xbox's current state, ie looking for a shot in the arm sales wise, 500 is too much to make waves. Of course I don't think MS is looking at it like either of those scenarios. I get the impression the 1x is more a love note to their hardcore fans.
My guess is because of this edit they slapped in:
(Some readers have noted that there are differences between upscaled 4K -- which the Xbox One supports -- and native 4K, which the Xbox One X will reportedly have "across the board". However, without the hardware in hand to judge how well it effectively works, and, more importantly, what's "upscaled" and what isn't, it's hard to tell just how beneficial it is.
And we DO know...
I disagree, if the 1x outsells the pro in NA I'd bet my bottom dollar MS will be screaming it from the mountain tops. If not, then we'll get the usual silence on actual sales and get some form of "it's doing great"
This news came at just the right time. For some reason I thought I already had this on steam, but it was on my X1 that I sold a while back. Now I get it for free. Saves me a few quid for when I decide to jump in again.
@tyasia0 yeah, in fact I believe the last PS2 game was released mere weeks before the PS4 launched.
more due to nostalgia than their gameplay. Mario 3D world has near perfect gameplay but won't be remembered as fondly as Super mario brothers.
Yeah, been a fan since the zdtv days
*sigh* as is always my luck, I already own the majority of the titles I'd be interested in. Well at least this time I might actually grab Stanley parable.
I disagree. Everything that xbox has done that can be considered for the players, xbox has done because they are so far behind in sales. We saw what their plans are for gaming, always online, drm, forced Kinect, no used games, etc. That was MS at their worst in gaming when they thought they were the king of the hill, and it's how I know they are not for the players. And since I know these always come back to comparisons with Sony; of course the retort is always "But Sony was plan...
