That's a good stance to have, but I'd suggest one adjustment, and that's to wait on the reviews for one particular reason, how much of a grind did they make it without micro transactions vs how fun would said grind be?

That's cute, but here's the problem, you compare sales of a multiplatform across all platforms vs a PS4 exclusive only on PS4. You also purposefully ignore the sheer number of multiplatform games vs PS4 exclusives. factoring in those two things, it says something about just how much those PS4 exclusives sell. A lot of them outperform the overwhelming majority of multiplats when comparing apples to apples.

Defending xbox where ever they end up no matter what is part of the reason why you don't get games. You disqualify anything that show PS having the upper hand and explain it away with some made up drivel like Japanese games being shovelware. First, Sony has done WAY more for gamers this gen than MS. MS is doing some things here and there, but let's not forget that Sony saved gaming as we know it. If MS had their way we'd be always online, drm locked, mandatory Kinect, no used games, pay a fee to share a game etc etc. Hell, MS was even sending employees to best buys to try and convince people not to buy a Wii U and get an xbox instead, they essentially paid for good reviews of the console, they were even willing to sell...

Not really. 30 platinums means you got all the trophies for 30 games (dlc and sometimes mp excluded as it should be.) 30K Gamerscore could be all made up of multiple games without completing a single one, or a bunch of games, or a few games, who knows?
