@unspoken, you seem to be putting a lot of your hopes on the X. You're really trying to convince people that this is the second coming.
So if it comes out and doesn't set the world on fire... what then?
Didn't yakuza 2, 3 and 4 do that? (I'm going off of memory so I might be wrong.)
No, he had two. price and games. But yeah, your point stands, just your math is off.
I don't have a 4k bluray collection, but I still watch tons of 4k content. Also physical media for movies and TV is on the decline. Streaming is quickly taking over. It's a non issue for the vast majority of gamers.
You would pay $1020 to play 2 games?
controllers, live, community, all subjective. Best looking games? OK. But I seriously doubt anyone will be able to tell the difference even side by side unless indicated. They might guess which is which, sure, but I doubt it will truly be them actually seeing a superior version. I defended xbox this same way when they were taking flack for upscaling to try and match PS4. Now simply knowing that the xbox version runs better carries some weight, granted, but the cost of giving up so many ...
Yeah xbox exclusives being "niche" when the exclusives they're known for are shooters kinda gave it away. Sad I don't think others got the humor.
Yeah I never touch mine when I'm with my kids so that's only one night a week I get to jump into VR, but I always look forward to it. Such an awesome experience. currently playing time machine VR and RE7.
In conceivable!
Can I buy pot from you?
Shows character though. If more xbox fans were like you then Phil and co. would feel the pressure and, for example, develop, or pay someone to develop a true answer to uncharted rather than buy timed exclusivity for tomb raider. The opportunity cost... we could have had a brand new IP. A risk, yes, but it could have been what Halo was for xbox, or gears was for the xbox 360. This gen X1 doesn't have a breakout new IP to hang their hat on, and that one in particular was a missed opport...
oh xbox
Please. Let's destroy your points one by one shall we?
if you change even one thing in a trailer, then the trailer is new, hence it's a world premier of that trailer, not of the game.
multiplats outsell exclusives, therefore everyone should be just fine without getting any exclusives at all. Funny, multiplats don't count as games now?
The X1X is so powerful that those white gloves were necessary for Larry's hands to not explode from the awesomene...
Gotta say I like this new moldy. far more objective and makes points that will help xbox rather than blindly praising them no matter what.
good on you sir.
@gumby I don't really see the 1X as having a strong enough reason to buy. The more time people have to consider their choice, they may end up going the (in my mind) smarter route of getting two consoles instead, Ie any combo of X1S, PS4 or switch. But again, only some sales, I don't think the majority of 1X preorderers would skip due to second guessing their choice. It's just as hype dies down, some will peel off and use that money elsewhere.
@imtiyaz, those aren't centrists, those are white supremacists pretending to be centrists. Much like the bigots pretending to be anti SJW. They're trying to normalize their toxic views by hiding among those in the middle.
So not widespread but sounds like some sort of hiccup in the system.
That sucks, irritating gamers and potentially costing MS some sales.
Is it the FCC's fault? What was the issue? Seems strange that only the X1X has had this issue in recent memory. Or is this wide spread and this is just the first time I'm hearing of it?
People said the same thing when the 1S was about to come out. "Who's going to buy this when the scorpio is just a year away?". Then the 1S sold like crazy for couple months or so. Same thing will happen here. It'll win MS a few NPD months then drop off until a major price drop, and win a month or two, then back to third behind nintendo
umm, doesn't target still have it?
