I like the fact that there is an even playing ground on the consoles. If the elite was in the box from day one and everyone had one it would sit better with me. The elite gives an unfair advantage to those who know how to use them. And even though choice is a great thing when do you draw the line. Maybe when they add keyboard and mouse to FPS shooters on console. Adding more input device changes the environment.
It gives consumers choice. I already have a camera and welcome the cheaper package that comes without it.

It's funny how people don't see the fact that Microsoft is trying to make other platforms part of there Universal Windows Product. Right now to have cross play the PC players have to use Windows 10 and the Xbox App. XBox One runs Windows 10. So if another platform wanted this feature guess what they would have to install? A modified version of Windows 10. Microsoft is trying to put Xbox on PS4 and other platforms.
So that was before they cut the kinect out the box which doesn't sell and numerous price drops. At the end of the day I'm just saying that Microsoft losses over 2 billion annually on the XBox Brand of course they would try to open up to getting more consumers. It's either change or watch the brand die.
If it was 40 the PS4 sells over 200,000 a week so that would be over 8,000,000 a week in profit from the console.
They all sell at a loss out the gate. But after a certain calculated amount of consumers buy the console with a few games they break even and then start to profit. Sony has been making money on the ps4 since I would like to say 5 or 6 million if I remember. Also you have to put into the fact that they also get money for every consumer that wants to play online or get Plus.
